Won't open app
Update: my school has stopped using the app after every parent complained about how useless it is. Will be excited to delete it.
The app will not open, as soon as I click on it, it glitches and closes. I cannot see any information from the school or answer or receive messages. I have tried uninstalling and re installing and it did nothing. I have checked all my settings and everything is correct. How you can sell this app to schools is beyond me. Our school chat shows most parents are having the same issue at the moment. Please do something to fix this!

The worst app
This app is terrible. Continuously crashing, I barely get it open and it crashes again. I have not been able to access my child's school news at all.
Frustrating
So frustrating trying to send a simple message to school. I open the app. It shuts down several times. Then finally stays open. I tap on message but no keyboard pops up. So I close and open several times. Eventually a keyboard. Then if it’s a long message I can’t actually scroll to see the current words I’m typing. Frustrating.

Worst school communication app ever
Honestly for something so important I would expect it would actually work. Can’t even enter my log in details today. Terrible.

I have tried deleting and reinstalling this app so many times it’s ridiculous. I have signed in and created a password but then it shuts down. Why are schools using this app with so many bad reviews.

Quite possibly the worst app ever. Horrific choice by any school to use this app!! Seriously. The company never seems to improve it either 🤦♂️

I cannot reliably get messages from the school. They either do not show at all, or show up as a pop up - but take a month or more to show in the message feed.
Even then, after not using the app over the holidays, I receive a heap of notifications (they only show partial info in the banner) for messages from the school, but cannot read them in the feed. The feed shows old messages but when trying to scroll, the display glitches and jumps back all over the timeline for old messages a year ago and won’t access anything within the last 5 months.
Logged in and out and reinstalled the app. Tried to login online via a browser but no functionality for that. Tried contacting support but doesn’t seem to have any support for apps unless I’m a paying customer. Only the schools seem to get support and as a recipient of their messages/parent I cannot get app support.

App doesn’t work
Downloaded the app logged in and opened it, and nothing will load. Refreshing, it doesn’t help and there is no updates available.
Can’t receive messages
The app doesn’t work as intended.
I get a message notification, open the app and it either crashes, or there is no message in the message section of the app. Recent updates, uninstalling and reinstalling, logging in and out and iOS updates have not fixed the issue.
I now miss important updates from my child’s school because of this app.

Crashes and flashes
As with other reports, the app replaced the previous ‘school star’ app and since then it:
- crashes immediately on clicking notification of new messages
- when reopening the new message is not there
- cannot scroll back through messages as the app just flashes over the current message and can’t scroll back
I previously reinstalled the app after checking that I had the latest IOS version and the problem continues.
Apple just release IOS 16.7.2 which I installed but problem persists. I then reinstall the app again but no change - bugs persist.
Phone is iPhone 12 mini
I note that IOS 17 is out (since Sep 18) and I wonder if MGM only tested this build against this latest IOS version which would be grossly negligent if true.
Currently, I am unable to receive messages from the school and am left to try and guess the importance of a message from the snippet in the notifications.
As the Optus (telco) network is currently down nationally in Australia, today is the day for Spacetalk Schools to shine but instead, it is a waste of space on my device.

School Star was better
This app recently replaced School Star which worked just fine. I opened my phone one day and this app was in its place, with all the features School Star had. I didn’t have to change login details. However it now crashes every single time I use it.
I get a pop-up notification from my child’s school and when I click on it to open the app, the message isn’t there and the app crashes. Sometime in the next few hours the message finally appears on the app. Frustrating because the pop-up only ever shows a few words and I worry I missed something important.
Please fix these faults asap.

Terrible
This app just doesn’t work. My kids school use it to notify of absences. But I repeatedly can’t log in and don’t get sent the password reset emails. I’ve deleted and reinstalled, filled resetting my password and it still doesn’t work. Schools need to stop using this useless app. It hasn’t been updated in 3 years so clearly the developers have no interest in it any more.

Keeps crashing
My kids school have decided to move to this for all notifications and it keeps crashing and kicking me out. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app countless times now and nothing. Honestly this app is useless and schools really need to stop using this. It isn’t more effective when it can’t be accessed

Frustrating beyond reasonable.
The app has logged me out, it does not send email for reset as instructed. Useless and time consuming. Will recommend my school ditch as it doesn’t work. I don’t appear to be alone with this difficulty.

Says an account already exists with my email?!
According to this app that I have never used in my life someone else has already created an account with my email address??! How is that even possible??! I now don’t have access to any school communication due to this error!!!
