Stopped at the first hurdle
On opening and starting to set up the question immediately rang a warning bell. You want my email password? Seriously? You want a private secure piece of data tied to an entire account? This is the first app EVER to ask me for a password that people use for security on another site. Be aware, if you supply any password online then you have opened everything to that person or company on that account. Bank mails, private data in mails. Do not say you were not warned if anything goes wrong.

Confusing to cancel
I tried this and didn’t like it. So I figured I could just delete the app. I was wrong. I lost all my emails. So, I redownloaded and logged back in. All my mail was in the blocked section. It’s very confusing on how to stop the filtering. I looked up how to do this and it says you need to delete the email addresses from the list in manage Emails, downside? You lose all your mail when you do this. So horrible! I went through and marked everything I could find that I needed as not spam then deleted the email addresses. I hope this works and I get my mail back. They need to make this more clear. As it is now, they make you kind of dependent on this app if you want to keep your mail. I hope I hear back from them on if I did this correctly. I have my account still just in case I need it. Awful though.

Thank you for your review. In order to stop the filtering you just press the pause button, as mentioned in the support article, not deleting the email address from the list. This is clearly stated in the help article. We also have support where you can ask the question, should be easy to do this - support@spamdrain.com. Emails all gone
I didn’t hit the start button or pick a plan to try. I downloaded the app and started the process to read more about it before deciding and it somehow started to intercept my emails and they stopped going to my inbox. I promptly deleted the app and removed my account as well as stopped the access. Didn’t get my emails back and they are just gone forever? This is terrible. Please be careful when you download as if you decide to not do it you may lose all your emails

Amazing solution
For many years by personal email had been taken over by spam (8 out of 10 emails were either spam or viruses). Spamdrain has solved the problem!!! I can’t recommend this service enough!!!
Absolute God-send!
For those with a constant spam problem, this is an absolute God-send. Blocks nearly all spam with no false positives. You can choose to block all newsletters, or let them through so you can manually unsubscribe from the ones you don’t want to see. I see only one or two spam messages slip through per week and at least 3 dozen blocked per day. All this for a reasonable cost per month. I love it!!

Not working
I take the time to block spam that gets through and pay for this service but marked spam keeps showing up in my emails . I am paying for nothing

Edit: I did finally get the web site to work. However, no help from Spamdrain. The Contact Us button still didn’t work. The app still doesn’t work and zero help on that on the Spamdrain website….. I bought the 12 month Starter app in August of 2025. Worked great until about November of 2025 when the app stopped working. The web site still worked and it was still filtering so I wasn’t too concerned. About February 12th, 2026 the web site and filtering has stopped. There is no phone number of who to call on the web site and the Contact Us hyper link doesn’t work. Hopefully they fix it soon, otherwise I’m asking Apple for a refund.

Doesn’t work for at least a week every month. Disconnects from Microsoft and a nightmare to reconnect. Great when it does work.

Have spent hundreds of hours blocking & putting spam into my blacklist & the same spammers send hundreds more emails & although i report time and time and time again they still keep coming. It is not worth the money and takes up too much of my time. When i block & report then why do you not sort once and for all instead i pay for a service i am having to sort myself & it is laborious. **UPDATE** Months later they finally respond to the review (i bet they would be far quicker on the emails if i did not pay eh!), it is still the same, i report junk emails, put them into the blacklist and they still keep coming through from the same email addresses. Then they tell you to contact their support?…. Well at this point this in my case is 19 times and you still fail, but it only takes you months to reply on a review site… all in all absolute rubbish and probably a scam of some sort as it’s is useless. **UPDATE AGAIN*** So its amazing is it not that twice now they can respond on here but on emails and messages they cannot be bothered then laughingly said “thanks for providing a real review” as though my review is fake… let me tell you what i put above is the truth, what you do not like is someone being honest in case you do not get your monthly monies off people so try & throw the “fake” card across the table. One thing i am not is a liar, in fact one thing i am is “honest” & your Spamdrain is rubbish, it is useless, it does not do what it says on the tin, you do not respond to messages or emails at all ever (because no one else sees them but you will always respond to a public review though eh,,, work it out my friend!!) so if anyone is being fake then it is the service you steal money for from those who believed you were doing or going to do a decent job and for that you are a FAILURE.. i have nothing to hide including the truth, what you have to hide is pure honesty and if the truth hurts then hey get a plaster.

This is my first review for ANY app I've ever purchased. I have used this sweet little spam filter for years...and just recently added a second email address. I’ve never had a problem with it and my inbox remains lean and clean! Highly recommended!
To much spam for what I paid for
It seems that no one answers emails ….
Don’t Download this App!
I downloaded this App a couple of days ago then, immediately decided I didn’t want it after all and permanently deleted from my iPad. I checked my iPad settings to make sure all trace of the App had been removed. However, yesterday & today they have sent me a daily email report of how many spam ones they’ve blocked. That shouldn’t be possible! I’ve sent a query on their ‘support’ link & ordered they stop this immediately.
