A Language App on the Move!

This app has much promise — as a reference resource as well as a vocabulary builder for multiple levels of Spanish.

The developer is very responsive to user reports and requests. This counts for a lot.

When I evaluate language resources, I look not only at the app but also at the company or developers that stand behind it. And the quick response I see here (to resolving problems) is a point in favor of this developer.

This app UI is straightforward and easy to navigate, and it has the potential to be a valuable part of the language learner’s toolbox. I urge you to download it and give it a test drive. I think you will be pleased.

A Language App on the Move!

Previously I identified two serious issues, and not two days after doing so, the developer appears to have fixed them. This is very impressive.

When I evaluate language resources, I look not only at the app but also at the company or developers that stand behind it. And the quick response I see here (to resolving problems) is a point in favor of this developer.

I suggest that in a future release, the app includes a provision for contacting the developer. And perhaps some modest online help could be added, though the app UI is straightforward and easy to navigate.

Good Content; Mediocre Presentation

The line formatting of the books is seriously screwed up. The display is amateurish and not professional caliber. At least this is true in landscape mode on an iPad.

Also, the dictionary content fails to load. I get only an error message, “The requested application data doesn’t exist.”

Within the app I see no provision for contacting the developer. There is no “About” section and no way to create a user profile.

The developer describes this app as “Flashcards for A1, A2, B1, B2,” but nowhere do I see a “Flashcard” tab, button, or link. And there is no online help.

The time may come when this app is useful, and I will keep an eye on it and I will modify this review as new releases are made; but at this writing, in its current form, it’s not useful now.
