Finally! A simple preset timer to help with task paralysis

I struggle A LOT with task paralysis with my ADHD, even as a 40 year old who has dealt with this all my life. I’ve been getting more into fine tuning skills to help me be more productive and not want to completely shut down when things don’t go as planned (because they never go as planned).
I looked into may apps for timers and various options that weren’t apps. Either there was too much customization to do, too busy and decorative, or just flat out annoying to have to try and set up each time.
I have a pomodoro timer that I use for long focus periods, but I needed something for the two minutes to get me unstuck and get going, or at least accomplished SOMETHING for two minutes before I shut down.
This app has been so helpful in just opening the app, hitting start, and just committing to the two minutes and then allowing myself to continue or stop. I still have to have a pow-wow with myself to commit to starting it, but it’s getting easier each time to just hit start, focus for the two minutes, celebrate, and then decide if I’m truly exhausted or just needed a push to get going.
All in all, the best thing is the default 2 minutes. I don’t have to fiddle with times, sounds, or other unnecessary bells and whistles. Simple timer on hand, and I don’t have to hear it ticking or humming in the background like physical timers.

Response from developer

Thank you so much for this incredibly thoughtful review. Reading how SPARK fits into your daily life genuinely made my day. You've perfectly described why I built this app — sometimes we just need that simple push to get started, without the friction of complex settings. The fact that it's helping you break through task paralysis means everything to me. Keep celebrating those two-minute wins! They add up more than we realize.
