Getting worse…
A recent update removed (or broke) screen rotation on iPad. Stuck using horizontal with volume buttons accidentally being pushed when resting on a table. Won’t even rotate 180 to opposite side. PITA.
Looks great, moves not so much
The free graphics and general setup are amazing. Do NOT pay for the 3d graphics As they are totally in distinguishable from each other, and it’s impossible to play. Plus if you email customer service they will completely ignore you or ask you to pay three dollars more for what they offer a free version three dollars is not free. The $5.00 lessons and puzzles do not load properly and they do not finish either. U pay for half the game. It says checkmate, but there is no checkmate happening. How do you learn on watching half a game? Also if I had a dollar for every time the computer moved my Queen to a spot I didn’t choose, I’d be a richer man.

“Bot Chess”
Do not pay for this junk. I’ve tested numerous times how these sites have completely reverted to (poorly made) bots to pretend they have more people online. If I were to be made aware I was playing a bot, I wouldn’t mind. But this is ridiculous- one day? I win 10 straight easily. The next? I’m fighting for my life by move 20 by extremely punishing ai posing as “human”. I’ve played chess for 20 years and can tell when I’m playing a bot. Elo around 1800 solid (don’t trust chess.com because I’ve tested them too and they’re doing the same thing so checking your elo in any online app is useless in this day in age).
Avoid this junk or accept you’re mostly playing against the creators trying to fine tune their bots to appear to be human.

“Bot chess”
The recession finally hit this app. Filled with bots to trick you into thinking you don’t know how to play well to get money out of you. It’s so pathetic because I played this app over 10 years ago and the rampant spikes have coincidentally gotten more wild after improved ai hit the market.
Truly pathetic. Don’t waste your money on this garbage. If they were to just say they were using bots as real people it would be okay. But as a chess player, I can tell when I’m playing bots.

Multiplayer doesn’t work
Absolutely horrible app. I click on multiplayer and it keeps throwing an error “unable to connect”. I tried with WiFi as well as with the cellular data. I play on SparkChess in a browser where I started getting the same error, time to move to something else. Unfortunate since I liked SparkChess a lot

The game itself is good and fun but to enhance ur gameplay to get another character or different skin u have to spend money which I’m not going to do so my game is really boring. Make it so u don’t have to buy everything that makes the game fun

I lost three games while in the lead today because this faulty app freezes every single time attempting to promote pawn. Broken and I’ve had it. You lost a player for life. I play a lot, and with a popular account. My team which I admin is in third place. I’m moving on to Chess.com. No more of this bull.

Absolutely disgusted! You have to pay £7.99 in order to exceed 2000 point mark which transforms as the Elo system. Why the F would we pay that when we can just delete this app to join other apps like chess with friends or chess time etc which is completely free and so much better. Good luck with this robbing “See U Next Tuesday” wow gold diggers, avoid this app like the plague people. Their is other apps out there that offer way more and that are completely free, don’t waste you’re money when other chess apps offer more which are completely FREE. Deleting this app, nice try to scam us lol!
