Great educational and interactive app
I downloaded this on a wimp while on a long car ride with my nephew who was getting tired of being in the car. We had fun reading through the book together and finding the different interactive components on the pages. He really liked being able to dress Sparky in his fire fighter uniform. This app did the trick in a time of need and I think my nephew learned a thing or two about fire safety in the meantime!

Sparky's Birthday Surprise is a must have for all families with young children. Sparky the Fire Dog, is the official mascot of the NFPA (National Fire Protetion Agency). The book is a delight in rehearsing and reinforcing fire safety and prevention, and presents loads of fun activities and interactive pages. After reading, it also gives you the parent, a chance to set up your own family fire safety protocol. Cupcake Digital should really be commended for this app as it also meets CCC standards. I simply won't say recommended, but get it!

A fun and educational app!
Another fun and educational app created by Cupcake Digital! A child is never to young or old to learn about fire safety, my son is almost 3 years old, and can already reach the stove area! Now that he is able to run around and can reach the knobs on the stove we thought this would be a fun way to discuss fire safety with him. Luckily he is a fan of all Cupcake Digital's apps so it wasn't hard to get him to try out the app! He loves it and we were happy he was able to sit still and enjoy the story included!

Fire Prevention Month
Overall, I believe this app is fantastic. From the read to me, read and play features, videos, games, and coloring pages, this app offers children with a great theme for the month of October of fire safety to help teach kids about fire saftey prevention. My students are going to love this app.
Fantastic Fire Safety Teaching Tool
This is a fantastic fire safety teaching tool. It is fun, educational, and does not scare children when talking about fire safety. It is great for boys and girls so all children can learn. I would definitely recommend this application to everyone I know with children.

This is a wonderful, interactive app for young children that does a great job instructing the player about fire safety. The tips from Sparky have been heard before, but the presentation keeps it fresh and rewarding for the player to continue through the story.

This reminded me so much of being a kid and having the fire department visit us at school. My older one just had her field trip to the fire house this week so she was excited to check this app out with the information fresh in her head. Plus it kept her busy for quite a while! Great for teaching fire safety
Not only do the kids love the dogs and hearing about the party but they're learning about firemen and fire safety without even realizing it! Great for teaching little kids without scaring them!
A job well done
I think this is a great way to teach fire safety. When I was a child it was just a video but this is much more engaging and I liked the game options it offered . the menu bar made for easy navigation all the way through! I would recommend this app for anyone that is trying to talk about fire safety with their kids and needing a helpful Segway into it.

Fire Safety made fun!
This is such a cute app! It's perfect for teaching little ones about safety around the house as well as about what fire fighters do and how they help protect us during a fire! We really liked this one!

Great for Teaching Fire Safety
I've been looking for a fun, non-scary way to talk with my kids about fire safety practices, and I finally found it!
Sparky's Birthday Surprise teaches little ones the importance of getting outside when you hear a smoke alarm, establishing a family meeting place and practicing safe cooking.
It's all done in a kid-friendly way and is super interactive--my daughter loves the coloring pages and my son got a kick out of the piñata game! They both ask to play it all the time.
