Timestamps on videos are off and customer service is piss poor.

I have multiple cameras and have been using the spartan app for several years. It just keeps getting worse every year. Going to change the cameras out as they age out to another vendor
NO LONGER GREAT OPTION
Technology and operational reliability has gone down drastically and costs remain high/higher than other options. Buy more economical cameras so when you have to replace doesn’t hurt as bad.

Good texting camera—but the delay in transmission is unacceptable
I have reached out to Spartan multiple times because of the delay in receiving HD photos and videos. This time 6 hours after request I still have not received the videos.
According to Spartan’s customer service, they need an “event” ie trigger to the camera to FULFILL the request. So for animal rescuers or someone trying to find their lost pet, this delay is potentially life-threatening. They need IMMEDIATE data.
In the case of the above delay, because the camera was accessible to me I went outside and activated it by moving in front of it, and then went back into the house. That seemed to have triggered the download of the video.
However if this trail cam were in the wild and inaccessible to me I would’ve had to wait a long time for the video delivery or HD photo delivery until another event got it triggered again.
How Spartan is programming its system to NOT SEND VIDEOS IMMEDIATELY UPON REQUEST and waiting for another “event” for delivery of services is one reason for the low review. It is certainly not worth the $15 a month I am paying for “service.”

Camera Amazing App Not So Much
That’s the review! The Camera has incredible quality day and night, but the app crashes and kicks me out all the time.
I hope the camera is better than the app
Just received my first go cam, I just got done setting it up and it was so much more difficult than any of my tacticams and spypoints. The app says to scan a QR code which is no existent. Then it says scan barcode, as soon as you click that it instantly takes a picture and you can’t just click delete you have to click out and click on the function again. It’s impossible to get the camera position and clarity for it to actually work properly. So now that everything’s registered i start setting up the camera itself and there is a value on the screen that I can only guess has to do with signal strength. I wish there was a tutorial on how to position the antenna for the best possible signal instead of sitting on the screen staring at the signal value. Idk so far I am not impressed

Poor quality app
I received an invitation to share a camera so that I could decide whether to buy. Logged into account after receiving invitation. App only displayed old pictures and old location, not current pictures or current location. Attempted to contact help, but only got artificial intelligence garbage responses. The app has no live button. I would not recommend this to another person. And I will not buy their system.

Can’t get photos
All of a sudden I can’t get photos on the app. Stats are all good. Have no idea what happened.

These cameras are top of the line. I’ve used all types of camera brands. Never have any issues with these cameras. Super cool that you can request videos off the touch of a button. Overall great camera for such a reasonably cheap price
Best of the Best
I run multiple of both the GoLive & GoCam cameras from Spartan. The quality and reliability of these cameras are top notch and they have yet to let me down. I rely heavily on them as scouting tools come hunting season. They also double as surveillance cameras for a home, shop, business or anywhere!
Best Cameras on the Market!!!
I have been running Spartan cell cams for the last 4.5 years and have been very happy with my experience. I have one GoCam with over 100,000 photos taken and it is still running strong. I have tried out several other cell cams and I will just say that Spartan has won me over for good!!!

Reliability
If you’re looking for a cell cam that simply is the most reliable camera on the market, then Spartan is your camera! I have a gocam that is a 2018 model and it’s only been Out of the woods a total of less than 10 days….and it’s never missed a beat. If that’s not enough out of a camera, then you’re simply not able to be pleased! Simple as that! It’s hands down the most reliable and dependable camera out there!

Amazing app and even better camera
This app is really easy to navigate and figure out, the spartan cameras are the best cameras I’ve used and I have been hunting since I could walk. Where we hunt they are the only cameras that work, tactacams won’t work on either service us cell and Verizon, but Spartans will find a way everytime!
