Good For Simple phrases
This app doesnโt teach you how to learn Amharic but it does teach you simple words and phrases if you ever need them. An example: If you are traveling to Ethiopia and you need to communicate with someone ( the majority of Ethiopians in Ethiopia DONT know English). And if you are talking with a relative or any person these will give you phrases you need. If you really want to learn to read and write then I recommend taking in-person classes but because of Covid try to find an app to read and write ( I reccomend the apps for little kids because they are for beginners and simple).

This App is somewhat helpful for limited learning. And it is not entirely free as it is advertised. There are major corrections needed for proper usage, as this language just like French or Spanish has gender variations. For example; good morning is different for a man and woman etc.
Endemenaderk for a man and Endemenaderesh for a woman. What is missing in the APP is which word is for man and which one is for woman etc.

Good app I'm Ethiopian so it's always been something I've wanted to learn, but they make you pay for certain categories. Pretty anointing just wanted to learn my language

This is really good for every one who wants to learn this language because u can repeat it over and u will get it right now I am close to knowing the whole language any one who wants to learn Amharic should come to this app
Lockdown in Ethiopia During Coronavirus
SO HELPFUL! Here for a month and this app is helping me and my husband so much. Along with practicing at home, we practice when we walk around town and they help us pronounce even better! Thanks for this amazing free app!

I used this to talk to my mom who knows Amharic and she was blown away. She spoke back to me and I got confused. But the app is great, I definitely recommend this to all beginners or if you just want to improve your Amharic.

I appreciate the native speakerโs spoken examples and useful phrases. Itโs helpful to be able to select favorites for practice priorities. I wish more useful conversational phrases were available for free.

I love using this app cuz my grandma only speaks Ethiopian (Amharic) so I use this to talk to her and learn Amharic ! U should definitely use this app if you wanna learn Amharic or to talk to someone!! 5 out of 5 stars for sure, except I wish they would add more words, because some words I know by searching up that theyโre Amharic words, but they donโt have it. Make/female/plural not clear
The pluses are that thereโs a good amount of vocabulary and the speaker to listen to the words works well. One huge problem though is that instead of letting you know whether something is masculine or feminine or plural, it just has a 1, 2 or 3 next to it and itโs very unclear. Because I have a very, very basic understanding of language I can kind of figure it out but if you did not you would have no idea.

Earning his trust
I have used the app to help earn the trust of a new neighbors caretaker. He was in the mist of war for 5 years in Ethiopia. He was so afraid of me. Then I was able to speak to him with this app and he is now my friend.

Great app
I'm Ethiopian and my Amharic needs work so this is a good app but there is some errors on the greetings instead of talking you use the word hearing in Amharic but besides that good app for the most part for someone that's not a native speaker!
Overall, it is great!
Though I have only had this app for a few days, I have been able to hear and see the words- being a visual learner this is extremely helpful! I would definitely recommend this app to others trying to learn Amharic! I would like to make a suggestion though! I believe the language would be better absorbed if there were some games or exercises to provoke memory.

Learning to speak Amharic
Thanks for this app I can hear the sound and practice it over and over. Would love to have the root word that changes depending on which person . "When did you come" has an error in 3 the word is not spelled right .. Please fix errors where words are not the word being pronounced because of bad proof reading .
