Classic Deceptive Marketing With Device Manufacturer or bait and switch?
BYER BEWARE: The ClickTalk device costs $199.00 to purchase but requires this app to function. The device manufacturer fails to provide this lack of detail requiring this app to use all features of the device. That is bait, once you down load the app, you are forced to subscribe to use the device. Then you must pay outrageous fees to use this to make video calls. $59.99 for the annual basic upgrade. 1800 minutes of video call translation cost $183.00. This is roughly 30 hours of calling. If you have family overseas and call one hour a day for thirty days you must buy more minutes. If you use it for business meetings, you will go over 1800 minutes well before 30 days have elapsed. That is the switch and very illegal in the United States. Lack of full disclosure in advertising is deceptive marketing a considered fraudulent activity, and violates several interstate and international wire fraud laws. So let’s breakdown the simple math. Device = $199.00, annual upgrade plan $59.00, 1800 minutes at $183.99 for thirty hours (or basically one month of video call translation calls) multiplex by twelve months is $2207.08 a year. The first year will cost a total of $2,467.86 USD. I notified Amazon of this deceptive practice, and will be reaching out to the device manufacturer to include the requirements needed to make the ClickTalk fully functional with the App a developer. These looks like a good case to be investigated using the Mutual Legal Assistance Treaties (MLATs)… as a conspiracy to commit transnational wire fraud. In my humble opinion of course.

Paid top dollar for device and less than 6 months app says device not authorized call cs but nowhere is there a phone number , only chinese writing.
