Hi I have a disorder so I can’t speak so I need an app so I can express myself. I was looking for a voice which most like my voice. Obviously I was never going to find a perfect one but I don’t know how to access a woman voice

Best app to be had for text to speech
As a person unable to speak, this app, in combination with my iPad and iPhone and iPencil has made it possible for me to communicate with people I previously had to use clumsy text-to-speech apps.
Being unable to speak is not the worst disability one might have, but it makes ordinary life difficult, as anyone unable to speak well knows. Having exhausted nearly every text to speak app available this one came as an answer to most of my difficulty. And to save time, if you have the Apple Pencil, you can scribble notes down, tap a button and the app speaks for you and then, erasing and starting a new note is on easy-the easiest of any app out there I have found. Quick and simple and easy to use. Worth the cost and highly recommend this. Can’t wait to see what else this developer comes out with!

app creator money hungery
iff the app didn’t cut u off from speaking every 10 seconds with an ad i would rate this a lot higher. like u really think it’s appropriate to put so many ads on an app made for people who cant speak cutting them off and making them sit through the video when they’re trying to communicate with people and in the middle of a sentence just so u cant make a lil more cash? totally takes away from the whole app and what it seems like it was supposed to be created for.

This because of your CONSTANT interruptions. Otherwise I might consider it useful. Also, after a person sets the language it repeatedly goes back to the original. Thus another interruption.
You could put a “Done” choice so we know when we have it set correctly, instead of a checkmark.

Useless
Useless with ads blocking lower half of screen that won’t click off.

Tried using as having speech problems,
Couldn’t even use it without either
The speech button being covered with an add so you have to exit an add to speak
Or worse
Pressing play & half way through a word a video add starts.
So during trying to communicate to my partner my paralysis had set in,
A home improvement add started.

GREAT APP!! (Update to previous review)
Thanks for the fixes. Awesome! I have been using this app a lot lately with pix/OCR. It is INCREDIBLE! Totally worth the upgrade! The new translation feature is interesting. Please consider adding the Latin language. A lot of people still study/use Latin. That would be a tremendous addition. Thanks again for the fixes! This is a SPECTACULAR app! (FYI-I wanted to update my old review directly, but it would only let me add a new review.)

Annoying commercials
It is ok except for the constant interruptions by very annoying commercials. I will never have anything to do with those advertisers! They could at least make it less annoying, maybe by putting the ads displayed but soundless at the bottom. It serves no purpose to irritate people you want as customers.

Ich möchte euch gern einige Möglichkeiten aufzeigen, wie ihr die App aus meiner Sicht noch besser machen könnt.
- zusätzliche Listen anlegen können für unterschiedliche Situationen. („gerettet“ als einzige Liste ist etwas umständlich zu scrollen)
- Facebook, Bewertung und Aktualisierung könnte man besser in einem Unter-Reiter zusammenfassen da man häufig drauf tippt und die App verlässt.
- die Einstellungen zur Sprachausgabe ist etwas kompliziert und umständlich. Vielleicht fällt euch dazu selbst noch etwas ein, ich bin kein App-Entwickler ;)

In part of the app description the word ‘dumb’ is used. Please use ‘mute’ or ‘speech impaired’ instead.
The app needs polishing up to meet modern design standards - eg having a sans serif, accessible font and fixing the alignment of some bits (eg the “Done” at the top of the keyboard should be on the right).
Using over-excitable text in it “this will give them a voice !!!” is obviously well intended but is a bit patronising and looks unprofessional. This isn’t an app for ‘them’ it should be presented as being for ‘you’ - the person looking at it. It’s best not to use slang punctuation “!!!” in apps - again it looks sloppy and it also make text harder to read.
The suggested saved text includes inappropriate suggestions like “I trust on you” which makes no sense and “I hate you”, and to think people need to have that saved on speed dial is just depressing!
The basics of a great app are there. If the developer listens to valuable feedback like this it could do very well indeed. There are millions of us with speech problems and the main competitor app is £199! I’d gladly pay £2 for it when it’s polished up a bit.
But a useful app for many people. A little bit more work on how it looks would make it a much more successful app.

Stupid ads
Stupid ads pop up every couple of seconds and then start downloading crap, even when you click No Thanks. Didn’t even get 10 seconds into the app when it started - and kept on and on. Didn’t even get a chance to try the app before ad bombardment and unsolicited downloads started. Deleted!

Ad pops up every couple of times you type a sentence. Deleted. If you want a decent speech assistant app get ‘talk for me’- it’s free and no ads.
