It uses no generative AI and if you are a person like me who wants to make a voice but also refrain from using our very limited clean water supply this is the app to use. You may now be thinking “there is no getting better than this”. That is where you’re wrong because there is a giant variety of voices to choose from like a robot or to a sweet grandma. You can also edit the voices by pitch and speed. It also has almost all of those analog horror voices.

Speak is a great app it helps you become fluent on any language you are passionate about, for example me and my dad have struggled learning Spanish so we tried using Duolingo but it didn’t really work so we gave Speak a chance and it helped us out so much. ok but not perfect
Before I was using Google Translate to make it read my text out loud when I need to check how something sound in english. It was working but you have to be online and sometimes the page reload and you loose what you typed. This app is more simple for that, I just type and it talks, no internet needed which is nice. The voice quality is about same level honestly, maybe little bit better because you can change the speed. One thing that bother me is some buttons are really small and I miss them on first tap.. my fingers are not tiny lol. Also after I leave the app and come back it goes to the main screen again not where I was. Is ok overall for what I need it to do, just wish those small things was fixed

I love using this app as it’s a great substitution for verbal communication due to my fear of public speaking and projecting my voice. But why has the voice option “English - Aaron (United States)” been removed? That was my favorite one. @Loic Verrall please explain.

I have I am having a hard time getting back to it when I pause it. I can’t see what is reading and it does not follow along when it’s reading.

Recent Update Made Things Worse
I really really love this app. 1. It’s free. 2. I can handle really long pieces of text. 3. It sounds good and you can adjust speed and pitch. 4. It used to play in the background. But! after this recent update it doesn’t. Which means if I want to listen to my long pieces of text not only do I have to stay on the app while it plays but I have to change my settings so that my screen doesn’t fall asleep while it’s playing or I’ll have to restart.
Also on my old device it played through fine but since using the app on my newer model phone it does something where it plays through the first several sentences and then plays the same sentences over and over until it stops completely. Or if it encounters a weird character it just stops completely. I love this app when it does what I need it to, but lately getting it to work is too complicated.

So this app of your is good but recently, it’s been really bad last few days whenever I tried leaving the app or playing stuff and or turn off my computer starts coming out and even if I sit on the app and stuff, it stops playing after a little bit
