Was working great
I down loaded this app to record a convention it was amazing. Now it’s not working not sure if I’m supposed to email and print off meetings and clear the app out.
Continually fails
I really liked to Speakeasy in the beginning, and I thought it was exactly what I was looking for. But it repeatedly fails when I am recording, and will completely lose all of my progress. It is so frustrating to speak for 5 or 10 minutes, expecting everything to be recorded only to have it say “transcription error”. Ugh! If I can’t trust it, I won’t use it!

Disappointed
After I update my iPad to the latest iPad OS, this AI app does not work once again. Please help to fix this bug. This app used to be very good.

Speakeasy may be a Hilite bit better than Siri but not enough to fool with, IMHO. That’s a good example. What I dictated was speakeasy may be a little better…

Tedious with constant failures
I tried to write this using the app, but it just kept failing. It either posted nothing, or said there was an error. So basically I just waste a lot of time kicking out to the other screen having it fail and trying again. When it does work it is better than the default dictation system but with how tedious it is, it’s definitely not worth six dollars a month.
Edit: a few major issues. 1. It doesn’t work in a lot of apps for instance, the App Store. I basically get a button that’s red but no start stop options. 2. Having to wait to go back on my iPhone 16 Pro Max is quite painful. The app back button is not available for usually 5 to 10 seconds upon reaching that screen. 3. This really should be integrated with the keyboard. While it’s better than the default dictation there are still errors everywhere and having to continually switch keyboards after each entry is annoying. I’m going to keep testing!

Truly the best of the best
This app truly is remarkable, it understands me with great accuracy and brilliantly improves my words, phrases, and vocabulary automatically
Works very well
Amazing tool. I just wish it saved a temporary history of recordings as a backup for when things don’t go smoothly (rare, but occasionally happens)
Disappointed
I purchased 1 year worth of subscription for this app since December 2024. Everything was working fine until 2 days ago. The app no longer transcribed speech to text anymore. Whenever i use the app, its stuck at the screen showing transcribing for a while. After that it shows an error message. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the app but nothing works. This error occurs after i update my ipadOS to the most current version.

Hi, I'm so sorry about the bug - we just managed to fix it. There was an update to an OpenAI library we used that caused a silent error. I really apologise that it took us a couple of days to fix. Message me at help@speakeasydictation.com and let me know what we can do to make it right.

This app is great, but it doesn't support Simplified Chinese. Please add this language
Removed important words and parts of the speech
The transcriptions rephrase what the speaker said and removes very important context when dictating. I used this for a long and important discussion I needed to transcribe and it removed 90% of the words and compressed it, changed what was said.
This doesnt have to go so hard
Really incredible tool. Looking forward to the new personalisation coming, but even where it is right now is so great. I've used this for every text, for jotting down ideas, and for sending emails. I used it to write this review. It outtypes and predicts better than Siri 100% of the time.

so easy and accurate!
Perfect for my little personal needs like quickly mumbling my dreams upon waking up before i forget them or journaling at the end of the day when traveling without a notebook. Love how convenient and accurate speakeasy is!
Best dictation app available
I’ve tried countless apps for dictation and Speakeasy is by far the best. It just works. I use it for sending text messages, emails, and taking notes, and it works perfectly. The user interface is also beautiful and easy to use. Highly recommend!
Speakeasy is a revelation
This is by far the most accurate and easy-to-use dictation app that I've ever tried. In fact, I'm writing this entire review strictly using Speakeasy. I’m excited about how much time I'm going to save and how easy this is gonna make writing emails on my phone

Easy and Accurate
With an uncommon name like mine, the first time i used speakeasy it not only spelled my name right but also caught it as a proper noun! speakeasy allows easy communication without having to go back and edit on your phone- which defeats the reason of using dictation!
Speed and accuracy
Speakeasy is easier to use and more accurate than any other dictation software I’ve used, often catching proper nouns and longer, complex phrases. As someone who dictates longer blocks of texts, this has been a game changer for emails, short presentations, lists, and other items I can dictate on the go.
