My go to French app
I have been using this app for 10 years. It has helped me during two trips to France and as a resource during language learning. A standout feature is that it can be used off line and it is not saturated with advertising. Double thumbs up.

This app is great for learning basic French. I love the flash cards but it keeps forcing close 😭

As an English speaker I have always found that French does not sound the way I would expect based on the written word.
This app is excellent at giving lots of accessible audio examples . Its an invaluable tool to help get french pronunciation right.
I would personally like to see an additional section called “Alphabet” . It should have audio examples like:
“Capital / lower case” (Letter name .. phonetic)
“A a” ( ay .. ah)
“B b” (bee .. buh)
“C c” (see .. cuh)
Etc.

This one is good for me
I’ve tried several language apps and I really like this one. The flash cards help me to retain words. It’s very easy to use and whenever I have a few minutes to kill, I can learn a few more words.
Great for the essentials!
Good organization of material and easy to use. Let’s you see the word or phrase, tap it to hear the correct pronunciation, and even favorite an item. Think you have an area down? You can test your recall/knowledge with the flash cards. A truly valuable app for beginners and even early intermediates.

Useful phrases
The collection of phrases are grouped nicely. They can be helpful during a visit to France.
Doesn’t help beginners
There’s no place that displays the alphabet or simple verbs so you can start building sentences. There are only phrases and flash cards which doesn’t help with no prior knowledge
This is the app you’re looking for
If you download one app before your flight to France, this should be it.
Very basic, best for those who know no French
The app has several categories but limited options in each and no room to add more. This is for someone who would like to emulate speaking French but doesn’t want to take the time to learn the language.

I like that you can repeat the audio immediately and unlike some of the other language apps, it is well organized and easy to follow. Terrific job!

Don’t Bother
I was looking for useful phrases and I found two! Essential words like water couldn’t be found unless willing to pay $1.99 to upgrade.
Ok but limited without further $$
Nice app and user friendly, but frequently the search returns with translations that require a purchase of the 'bundle pack'. I purchased this app for around $6 and I would expect the complete dictionary for French - if I wanted other languages, I would purchase the 'bundle pack'. Buy it if you want only a slightly helpful app when in France.

Overpriced
Almost everything I needed to know while traveling required additional purchases. For what is offered in the app, it should be free. Totally overpriced for what is available.
Don't buy!
Forces you to buy more vocabulary packet. Does not offer all the vocabulary options shown in demo upon purchase!
It's not offline!
I bought extra version which is not working without net connection. Not worth a penny
