Does not speak as claimed, therefore useless.
Speaker timer doesn’t speak
Great when it works but sound button inconsistent. Deleted app.
Speaking Stopwatch
This app does 90% of what I want. It allows for an audible timer when running. Very handy for timed intervals. I would perfect if you could still listen to music or podcasts and this app would talk above these other things.
Copies your private information.
This app will copy whatever information you have in your phone’s clipboard (if you recently copy/pasted something in another app) and will automatically paste it into the app for the developer to use. Try it for yourself using iOS 14. DELETE IT IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR PRIVACY.
Almost but not quite
Well, it’s a good app. It does exactly what it says it does. Here are, in my opinion, the pros and cons.
Pros:
Simple. You can set it to tell you every 5, 10, 20, 30, or 60 seconds the elapsed time
Works if you exit the app
Works if you lock your screen
Cons
Does not work with music playing. Music will stop and the timer will speak. Music will not resume. Instead, what should happen is the music should duck under speech until it’s done and then raise back to full volume
The voice is non-adjustable. It can’t be sped up or slowed down. It can’t be made louder or quiter. You can’t raise the pitch to its original, because believe me, that is not the original. You cannot change it at all, not even to a totally different voice, if you should have any installed.
Has adds with no way to remove them. They are unubtrusive though.
If the developer fixed some of this, I’d gladly give it five stars and recommend it for all my friends who run like me. I use this to announce how many minutes I’ve been going, and it’s really useful to have a reference when I’m at one minute, two, three, etc, then know whether I should speed up or if I’m on track to finish my mile in the time I want.
