Talk about a support aid
I'm a teacher and needed something that my students could use for free . Something that supported all content and mobile. Awesome product I wonder what the full version does. I plan to spread the word .
Great app
I love this app; it became the big part of my life since I bought it two years ago. I use it mostly to listen to books from the Internet sites like Project Gutenberg that offer books in a text format. English is my second language and the 'SpeakText For Me' gives me the possibilities to listen to books, sentence by sentence, with a speed that is comfortable to me, the app translates all sentence to my native language, additionally I’m able to repeat all the difficult parts of the books as many times as needed to fully understand them. I spend with 'SpeakText For Me' one to two hours every day and, since I started using it, I have made very big improvements in my abilities to understand and speak English. I plan to use it for many more years, read hundreds more books and, at the same time, improve and perfect my English skills. I’m convinced that it is “must to have” app for everyone how tries to learn a new language.

Worth the money
I am using this app to speak aloud my written Spanish lessons. I plug the phone into the big screen and sound system, and teach the Spanish lessons to my family. Some functions are not user friendly but I can figure it out.

Don't waste your time like I did. Don't get it, it doesn't even read to you..
Works for me
I tried Speak for Me and Speak it to me and and they both wouldn't work. This one did. I am using an iPhone 4S with iOS 6.1.
Disappointed
Cannot pronounce I've, isn't etc. free version reads only few sentences. Have an option to read docs in other application but didn't open the docs. Useless. Deleted.

Not ready for prime time
This app works on occasion, but I recently found out if you place too much text in the box, the app will crash. Therefore, I don't believe it's ready for prime time and giving it two stars.

Crashes all the time
I bought this app to read some words documents. But it crashes all the time despite upgrading to the full version. Very frustrating! I hope I don't get charged twice as other ppl said. Wish I had read the comments before purchase
SpeakText
Freezes repeatedly when it tries to read web pages. I had already paid the $19.99 for the full upgrade and so I tried to download the upgrade again twice to solve the problem - but no help. Then I found that SpeakText charged me 2 more times for additional charges of $42.48. Stay away from this highway-robbing junk program!!!!

This app only reads a few sentences and doesn't continue reading while switching to other apps.

Yes it really does crash EVERY TIME after just a few sentences. A lot of times after just a few words. It would be a great app if they ever fix this. I've had the app for about 4 months and nothing has changed. I wouldn't even waste my time downloading it but if you want to see for yourself go for it. Just don't say I didn't warn you.
