i love when apps try to invade my privacy with dystopian big-brother id verification and THEN proceed to throw up error after error during registration. maybe focus on making an app that works instead bc this aint it

I’m sooo glad they decided to update the app! This was always the best app back in the day. I met lifelong friends on here during the pandemic, and I’m ecstatic it’s back! Everyone, redownload it! Speaky is back!!!

It’s broken
I really want to use the app but it crashes when I’m trying to select my native language. I can’t get past the set up.
I can’t register, nothing works no Facebook no apple, fix it

I saw the vision but it didn’t work out
I deleted the app because too many accounts were last seen active months ago. It seemed like people either stopped using the app and the one that were there were looking for a relationship.

Das war die beste App der Welt. Ich habe Menschen aus der ganzen Welt kennengelernt. Im Juni 2025 gab es ein großes Update und seitdem ist die App leider tot und alle sind offline. Ändert bitte den Suchfilter wieder um!!!

I had been using this app for months but the last time I wanted log in, I couldn’t. Then I checked the website of the app and saw that I had been blocked by the app. I hope they’ll figure this out soon because I was enjoying using the app.

J’ai téléchargé speaky pour améliorer mon anglais, mais je n’ai jamais pu créer un compte.
J’ai essayé toutes les options proposées (email, Facebook, Apple) à plusieurs reprises, sur plusieurs jours, et ça ne fonctionne toujours pas. Le message est toujours le même : “Une erreur s’est produite, veuillez réessayer.”
J’ai aussi redémarré mon téléphone, changé de connexion, réinstallé l’app… rien n’y fait.
C’est vraiment frustrant, surtout quand on est motivé à progresser. Aucune aide, aucun message clair du support.
Si rien ne change, je désinstallerai l’application. Dommage, car le concept me semblait très intéressant.

1. Why don't u tell me the username cannot be changed when I was asked to type it? And if it cannot be changed, it should be called ”ID”, not ”USERNAME”!

the update killed it
if before the last grand update it was a bad app, now it has become useless. just a bad copy of Tandem
App disconnecting issue
This app periodically disconnects and opens at log in screen. When logging in it says there is a problem and doesn’t recognise log in details. Eventually log in. This time though the app has disconnected and wants me to re-register. The DOB drop down doesn’t work and defaults to 1 June 2007.
Why does the app force log out like this? Is it a security thing? If so why not simplify the process.
