Every specialty roaster runs its own shop, so the question that matters has no answer anywhere: who has a washed Ethiopian right now, and which of them is actually the better buy? Specialty Coffee Finder indexes what independent roasters are selling today, across six countries, and puts them side by side. ONE COMPARABLE PRICE A 250 g bag at $22 and a 340 g bag at $27 are not in the order the price tags suggest, and one of them might be priced in kroner. Every listing is normalised to a price per 100 g in a single currency, so "best value" is a sort you can trust instead of arithmetic you do in your head at the checkout. There is a per-cup figure beside it, at an 18 g dose. THE SAME COFFEE, ELSEWHERE Open any coffee and see comparable lots at OTHER roasters — same origin, in stock today — each one labelled with how much cheaper or dearer it is than the one you are looking at. A roaster's own site cannot answer this. It only knows its own shelf. A WATCHLIST, NOT A FOLDER OF LINKS Save a coffee and the index keeps watching it. Prices that came down and bags that came back into stock rise to the top of your list, with what the coffee used to cost. Every coffee's page carries the cheapest price we have on record for it, so you can tell a real drop from a normal Tuesday. SEARCH THE WHOLE FIELD Full-text search plus the filters specialty coffee is actually sorted by: • Process — washed, natural, honey, anaerobic • Roast level — light through dark • Origin country and region • Price, price per 100 g, and bag size • Decaf • In stock only Sort by best value, by biggest recent price drop, by price, or by what landed most recently. EVERY RECORD, NORMALISED Each coffee carries the whole picture: name, roaster, origin, region, producer, varietal, process, roast level, tasting notes, bag size and price. Roasters all describe their coffee differently. The index puts it in one shape so that comparing two of them means something. THEN BUY IT FROM THE ROASTER Open a coffee and tap through to the roaster's own store. Specialty Coffee Finder sells nothing — no cart, no commission, no paid placement. Nobody can buy their way up the results, and converted prices are shown for comparison only; you pay the roaster, in their currency. The crawler identifies itself honestly, obeys robots.txt and rate-limits per host — the whole policy is published at coffeefinder.harborapps.org/bot. For people who buy coffee by process and producer, and who would rather know they are paying $8.40 per 100 g than $23 a bag.
