Needs a update!
Kind of a bummer to pay to remove ads on a game and then not be able to play it. We loved this game! Please fix it!
crashes immediately on XS
opened the game, turned off sfx and music, crashed. won't let me even click "play" before crashing back to springboard.
Crash on launch
I read a great article about this game written by Erica Gorochow. This is why I downloaded the game.
I was disappointed to discover that the game cannot be run on iOS 12.

Fantastic app... back when it worked
I loved this game. However it is unfortunate but since iOS 12 it refuses to launch. Makes sense as the last update was 3 years ago... but oh well. Hopefully it gets updated even though I donโt foresee it. If so I will gladly change back to a 5 star review.
Crashes at launch :(
Same as previous comment.
I just want to play! :(
Game crashes upon launch.. Loading screen appears and color droplet starts to drop into the Play button, then app crashes. HELP!
Beautiful!
An absolutely wonderfully executed game. So much fun trying to work my way through the spectrums. Gorgeous animation and sound design. Thank you!!
Beautiful
A simple, elegant and fresh game. Super addicted
FUNNNN!!!
This game is really fun an challenging at the same one so its makes a great time filler so I recommend playing when you are bored ๐๐๐ญ
Pretty colors, baffling effects
I like the colored amoeba blobs, and I like picking the one that matches the background. Would really really appreciate an untimed mode, you could even just call it a practice mode. Time limits are incompatible with relaxation. That's work, not play. I'd also like info, directions, help, something, explaining what the black and white patterned blobs mean. Two seconds of info flashed at the beginning of a level, if that's what it is, doesn't help. Maybe everyone else but me is too smart to need this all spelled out. Or maybe others would like the same thing. It would sure be friendlier.

Good but no longevity or future
Okay, it's fun and challenging...but that's only the case for the first few levels. Once you reach Delta (I think that's the one with 7 levels?), it gets way too hard, way too quickly and turns from challenging to frustrating; therein lies the fundamental problem with the entire concept of Specimen that will ultimately lead to its demise.
People like a challenge and to feel like they can get good enough to actually beat a game if they practise hard enough, which isn't really the case here, thereby making the game quite dishearteningly pointless in the eyes of most. Colour identification is limited by human physiology - we can't generally train to get better at it. It's the same as asking someone who's 5 foot to reach a button 10 foot off the ground. The odds are good that he'll never get there - no matter how hard he tries to jump. A 6'5" guy will probably reach it with a lot more ease, as his physiology will probably allow for it. So yeah, this game is the equivalent of trying to jump for something that you can never really reach.

Great
It's a great game to test your eyes. It starts of easy, but it gets harder and harder. Your eyes might become your worst enemies!
This has potential.
With a few alterations to performance feedback this ap could prove very valuable to some industries. Visual colour matching is a valuable skill and identification of individuals limitations has the potential to streamline expensive processes.
This has some real world potential. I'd like to contact devs, will email PepRally

Fun game
Definitely an entertaining quick play. I'd like to see a mode for color-impaired players, though, as even a mild partial color-blindness can make the game a lot harder (or impossible).
Fun
Addictive and not as easy as it looks.
Challenging and fun
The timed element adds that extra spice, but I wish I could turn that part off if I wanted to for an extra second to think about what I'm pressing...I have pressed the wrong color out of sheer reaction time, not because I actually thought I had the right color but was wrong...good game overall..and unique.

Very tight ...
I found out about this app (Time is the overseer of all things) from a stock ticker article (Time is the overseer of all things). I'm a four eyes, but I (Time is the seer of all things) have descent color perception, good rods and (Time is the overseer of all things) cones I suppose. Not when it comes to the color (Time is the overseer of all things) green apparently and that's why I'm certain that time is the overseer of all things.

Specimen color game
I would love this game but the touch response is badly delayed. Please fix it!
Can't stop tapping
And squinting! This game will have you questioning your senses, and wondering: do I really see the same colors other people do? What is art? Will man ever walk on Pluto? Why's it called double-u when it's clearly two v's?! Point is, Specimen is a lot of fun.
Fun fun fun!
A beautiful and addictive little game that has brought out my competitive streak - I will make it to the next level... I will!
