About

Your IPTV subscription, your Plex, Jellyfin and Emby servers, and the files on your NAS — one library, one app for all of it. Live channels play through Spectati's own engine, built to hold on where other players give up. Every playlist has channels that refuse to behave — they stall, stutter, or drop you back to the list a minute in. The engine was built for exactly those, and a lineup of ten thousand stays usable, too. Categories, favorites, renaming, hiding and custom sorting cut it down to the channels you actually watch, and the choices survive a playlist refresh. A full guide is built from your XMLTV data, catch-up covers programs that have already aired, and if your provider speaks Xtream, its movies and series arrive in the library alongside everything else. Media servers get the same treatment. Plex, Jellyfin and Emby connect at the same time and fold into one library, so a film sitting on two servers becomes a single entry that plays whichever copy is better. Or run no server at all. Point Spectati at an SMB share and it works out what everything is on its own, then goes and finds the posters, descriptions and cast to match. A NAS with a folder of films on it is enough. Everything plays straight from the file. Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG go to your display, Dolby Atmos, TrueHD, DTS and E-AC-3 go to your receiver, with nothing re-encoded on the way and no server left transcoding. It is a proper native app on every platform, and it is quick. The Apple TV version was designed around the Siri Remote rather than being an iPhone layout stretched across a television. Rows and artwork keep up with you however fast you move, intros can be skipped, and chapters are there when the file has them. Typing an address and a password on the Siri Remote is slow, so Apple TV shows a QR code and you finish setup on your phone. It stays on your own network and never involves an account. The app is free, with up to two sources connected. Subscribing lifts the limit and unlocks full quality, offline downloads, and your IPTV provider's catch-up and on-demand catalogue. FEATURES • M3U, M3U8 and JSON playlists, and Xtream-compatible IPTV • Full XMLTV guide, catch-up, and your provider's movies and series in the library • Plex, Jellyfin and Emby (beta) libraries, connected at the same time • SMB file shares, with no media server needed • Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, HLG, Dolby Atmos, TrueHD, DTS and E-AC-3 • Skip intro, chapters, playback speed, audio modes and track delay • Automatic subtitles, or search them yourself • Offline downloads where your provider supports it • Continue Watching, watch history, watchlist and favorites • Like or Not For Me on anything, and a Home that follows your taste • PIN protection, content ratings and channel restrictions • Apple TV user profiles, with personal watch history for each person • AirPlay and Picture in Picture BRING YOUR OWN CONTENT Spectati is a player and organizer. It does not provide media, channels, IPTV subscriptions, playlists, accounts, metadata, subtitles, storage or internet access. Connect your own supported providers and only stream content you're authorized to access. SUBSCRIPTION Browsing, live TV and playback need no account and no subscription, with up to two sources connected. The subscription is optional: it connects an unlimited number of sources and adds full quality playback (HDR and surround sound), offline downloads, IPTV catch-up and on-demand, bulk channel tools, program reminders, iCloud sync of your sources, lists and watch state across your devices, automatic subtitles and SIMKL watch-history sync. It renews automatically and is billed through the App Store, with a free trial when available. You can also choose a one-time lifetime purchase. One purchase covers iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Mac, and Family Sharing is supported. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID settings.

What's New in Spectati

1.4.1

August 23, 2026

Mostly fixes — including a crash when connecting to a network share. FIXED • Adding or streaming from a network share (SMB) could crash the app • Sound could keep playing after you closed the player • Pressing Menu or Back part-way through a scrub left playback paused instead of resuming • Your place in a film could jump backwards after a seek • Watched progress could be reported as saved when it was not • The audio and version pickers could show a track that was not the one playing • Everyday file errors were reported as "Local storage was reset because it was unreadable." • When two servers asked to be trusted at once, the second was never asked again that session • A Jellyfin or Emby library could look empty after a request went out without signing in • Playlist errors could record account details in logs • 7.1 and other less common surround layouts were sent to the wrong speakers • A damaged file could crash playback instead of moving past the bad moment FASTER • The app reaches Home sooner • The TV guide stops rewriting data that has not changed
