One of the coolest parts of Raman spectroscopy is seeing the same chemical signature returned in relative wavenumber space irrespective of the laser excitation wavelength. However, converting between wavelength and wavenumber can be cumbersome, especially when trying to compare spectral ranges between spectrometer models.
The Wasatch Photonics Spectral Calculator is designed to let you quickly and easily convert between wavelength and Raman shift in wavenumbers for a given laser wavelength, and also to let you easily determine the spectral range of a system in either wavelength or wavenumber space.
