About
SpectrumAnalyzer lets you see sound in real time with a 32-band logarithmic spectrum (20 Hz–20 kHz), dB level readout, and quick tools for peak and dynamics monitoring.
Besides microphone, library/files, and Apple Music, it includes a Test signals source: play white noise, pink noise, or a tone sequence across the 32 spectrum bands to check response and analyzer readings.
With Test signals you can:
choose White, Pink, or Tones
set output level (−36…−6 dBFS)
use Emit only to analyze on another device in Microphone mode
(on Mac also Mic + emit, to play and analyze on the same computer)
for tones: set band duration, pause between bands, and repeat sequence, with skip forward/back during the run
The Settings menu gives direct control over analysis:
Microphone Gain (0…+48 dB) for low-level sources
Bar Speed (Fast/Medium/Slow)
Display Range (−40/−60/−80 dB)
Temporary peak hold time and fall speed
Flat / A / C weighting
40 Hz High-Pass filter on mic input
Reset to Defaults
Quick controls like REL, HOLD, and TEMP, plus active setting tags, keep the current mode clear.
Clean interface on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
Note: dB values are indicative and not SPL-calibrated; they depend on microphone, speaker, and device. This is not a certified sound level meter.
