Disappointed
I would love this app if it actually worked but itβs not very accurate. Itβs good for a /w/ for /r/ but it treats distorted r sounds as correct. The feedback is too inconsistent to be used in therapy. Bummer :(
Not worth the time
I was excited about the idea, but whatever sound I made it gave a yellow light. It does not differentiate a correct /r/ from any other sound.
Good idea but not accurate
This app has a great idea but unfortunately falls short of its goal. Many productions are counted as correct when they are inaccurate distortions. The kids love the graphics for feedback. Too bad it is inaccurate. Could the accuracy be fixed?
Not always accurate
This is a good idea, but it is not alway accurate. It appears to be less accurate with the girls I have used it with in speech therapy than with the boys.
Not worth the money!
So I downloaded this app and tried it with my fifth graders. They really liked the graphics, but the feedback for their sound productions was way off!! One student made a loud raspberry sound, instead of an R, and the app gave him credit for a clear R sound production! The students all agreed that I should delete the app, because it wasn't worth the money. I gave it one star for the great graphics.

Speech racer lite
This would be a great tool if it were more accurate. It gave me good reviews for my w/r substitution. I only tried the lite version however.
AMAZING IDEA! But...
I love this idea as a speech teacher, unfortunately this app doesn't work. It cannot differentiate between correct and incorrect /r/ very well. If it is a clear /w/ the app seems to register it as incorrect most of the time and some correct /r/s are marked incorrect. This app will just provide inconsistent, confusing feedback to students.

I really wish it worked
I am giving this 3 stars for effort only. I really wish that this app worked but it does not differentiate well enough for adequate feedback. It gave positive feedback when /r/ was glided. This is such a great concept because that darn /r/ is a tricky thing to learn and this app would be fantastic for younger AND older people alike. I tried the free lite version and would buy it in a heartbeat if it worked better. Please improve its accuracy!

Not compatible with iOS 8
Good idea, but doesn't work on the latest iOS. Words are not displayed on the screen, so it is impossible to know what to say!
Good idea
This is almost great. I get some green lights on words with a bad 'R', but this is a really good idea.
Concept is good, but...
This lite version is really too limited to "test" the application. I tried multiple incorrect productions of /Ι/ in both isolation and initial position of words and it gave them all a "green light". The only productions in the red were clear pronunciations of /ee/ - a substitution I've never seen an /r/ kid use. I would probably not purchase the full version when it's available based on what I've seen with this. Praying though that the full version works as advertised because many therapists/children would benefit from this type of application.

Worked for me
This app gets some low ratings but overall really good--it can vary from person to person. Great free app, hope they put out a full version soon.
Fun! Interactive
This is fun! I get some green lights on words that are not good Rs, but it is mostly right. Good idea for kids who struggle with R.
Phenomenal Speech Technology
I used this with my ten year old son and he loves the visual it provides. I have followed Complete Speech for a while now and am so glad they have finally made a free app. We need more innovators in Speech. Thank you Complete Speech!
Great!
Great way to help child improve their speech! Easy to use and fun!
Wow
This is great. I can't wait to use this with my kids who need to generalize the /r/ sound!
