SpeechTrim: Cut Editor

SpeechTrim is a cut editor for people who talk on camera or into a microphone. It measures your recording in 40-millisecond steps, draws the real decibel curve on screen, and lets you drag the cut threshold across it with your finger. Tightening a 30-second clip for your feed and tightening a two-hour lecture are the same three moves. WHY IT IS NOT A ONE-BUTTON TOOL • The waveform is the control, not decoration: drag the threshold and the cut list changes live • Auto Threshold measures the actual noise floor of your room and places the line for you • Smart Tighten keeps a natural pause of the length you choose instead of butt-joining every gap • Separate minimum-silence and speech-edge padding controls, down to the millisecond • Every cut is listed with its timecode and can be switched off on its own • Zoom and scrub the timeline, jump straight to any single cut • A/B the original against the processed version at the same position in the content FILLER WORDS, ON DEVICE Turn on filler-word detection and SpeechTrim runs a Core ML speech model with word-level timestamps, in 15 recording languages. Long recordings are processed in overlapping 50-second chunks and de-duplicated, so a two-hour lecture is handled the same way as a 30-second clip. The model downloads once, then works with no network at all. Presets for short-form video, podcasts, lectures and interviews set your starting point, and you adjust from there.
