Dynamic Island doesn't update frequently

The lock screen live activity widget is great and updates the speed roughly once per second, and it's accurate. However the Dynamic Island live activity only does so for a few minutes, then it begins updating only once every 15 seconds or so, which is not particularly useful.

The app hasn't been updated in a year, and it doesn't even request the "allow more frequent updates" permission for live activities, so I don't anticipate this will be fixed any time s9on. Oh well. I wanted to like it.
