Everything written about a story is one person's version of it. Read five and you have five angles, not a picture. A speedrun is the composite. It's what the coverage adds up to, assembled into something you watch. Or read, if you prefer. It's written by a machine and presented by one, and we're not apologetic about that. A machine has no byline to defend, no tribe to please, and nothing to gain from making you angry. That doesn't make it neutral. Nothing is. But it removes one specific kind of bias, and it's the one you're sick of. Self-interest. A person reads every one before it goes out. Not to add an angle - to check the machine didn't invent one. The number of sources sits on screen the whole time you're watching. Open it and they're sorted into primary, analysis and aggregated, so you can see what came first and what's commentary on it. Scrolling isn't the problem. What's in the feed is. Smartscrolling is the same thumb and the same ten minutes, pointed at something worth the time. Check us. We'd rather you did.
