Speed test good- Down Detector not working
I love the app for the speed test, but I really wish they would have left Down Detector as a separate app! I only get the Down Detector part of the app to load MAYBE once every couple weeks!
Priceless
This app is simply priceless. It let you know when a website is down and gives you details on what services are currently unavailable. If there’s a power outage it let you know Where it’s happening. It’s simply unparalleled service. Hats off to the creators who made it
iPadOS resize issue
On iPadOS if the window is not full-size, the UI elements are off screen to the level and the user is unable to view speed data, unless they then go into their result page. This bug has been persisting for over a year, please fix. It’s crazy how there’s been zero attempt to resolve a major UI issue

Collect WAY too much info
I know, 90% of the time we don't read these things, but please read the information this app collects. I have never witnessed an app collecting so much personal information, including usernames, passwords, social media posts, political, affiliation, religion, other apps you download I could go on and on, but it's pretty much everything you have or will do on your phone. I immediately deleted this app and data contained within. Didn't even agree to the terms or run the test, this is ridiculous. It's more of a data collection than it is an app. USER BEWARE‼️ not to mention it they share it with everyone and their brother if you read the fine print, avoid this app like the plague!

Good
App has explicit ads
App functionality is great, however after speed testing when seeing results there are explicit ads which my kids saw, such as women with bouncing breasts or butts. The app is rated 4+, which it definitely is not.

I know that sounds daft as that’s what it should do but it just does that. Really well IMO.
Good app with one small caveat
I mean don't get wrong it's a good app but it is a little silly that you can only favourite up to 5 things on The down detector that is far from enough.

The best Wi-Fi app
I used this at a hotel it’s so good
SERVERS
Speedtest used to be much better at automatically finding the right servers. It would usually select the closest server, often my own Internet provider’s server. Now it randomly chooses servers that are not even relevant or nearby, making the results less accurate and frustrating. Please improve the automatic server selection.

This was an awesome app. I used it all the time. I recommended it to co workers so they can test network speeds at venues we will be running events at.
I deleted it today because they just changed the app such that you MUST agree to personalized ad trackers being installed on your device. No. You don’t need that. You got too greedy and now I will never use an Ookla app or product again. You lost my trust.
