Spellar: AI Meeting Note Taker

Spellar 3.5.0 brings a new Home screen, a calendar that remembers what happened, and a redesigned way to read your notes — on Mac and iPhone. New & Improved: • Home — a new landing screen with today's meetings, your open action items, recent notes, a setup checklist for new accounts, one product tip at a time, and an ask bar that opens a chat in place. • Auto-stop recording (Mac) — Spellar can end a recording when your meeting ends, with a 20-second countdown you can cancel and a two-minute heads-up before the maximum length. Turn it on in Settings → Recording. • Calendar history — scroll back to past meetings, see the recording made for each, and see what a recurring series discussed last time. Auto-record can now be set for one meeting or the whole series. • List, Cards and Timeline views for notes, folders, templates, recaps, calendar and chats — with a day digest beside the timeline. • Summaries that read like a document — cleaner typography, a topics outline, headline figures beside each topic, and every action item collected at the foot. • AI Chat as a floating dock — ask about the note you're reading without leaving it. Chat history search now covers what was said, not just titles. • Redesigned chat, Copilot header, template editor and event details. • A new onboarding film on Mac, and a welcome checklist on iPhone. • iPhone — record button in the tab bar, bulk move and delete, topic chips and action roll-up on summaries, calendar history, and product tips. • Eight refined colour palettes, and new toasts with error details and background import. • Polish everywhere — Prepare Notes in a rail beside your notes, bulk delete for folders, a floating Today button in the calendar, subtle icon animations, and empty states that no longer claim you have no notes while they load. Under the Hood: • Closing the lid now stops the recording cleanly, and interrupted uploads resume on wake. • Plugging in headphones mid-recording no longer silences the rest of the recording. • A recording that goes silent is now detected and stopped instead of running for hours. • Zoom and other native calls are detected reliably again. • Weekly meetings get a reminder every week, not just the first one. • Fixed a gap where parts of some long meetings were never transcribed. • Summaries that failed for "not enough content" can be retried; failed exports and reanalyses now say so. • Notion, Google Docs, Todoist and other free integrations no longer show a Pro paywall on Mac. • Calendar edits made elsewhere — moved meetings, new links, RSVPs — now show up without a restart, and a declined meeting no longer auto-records. • Spellar interrupts less — one prompt at a time, and never during a recording. • Dozens of smaller fixes — two-letter searches, recap date ranges, Google Drive showing as disconnected on iPhone, and strings that were English-only in 15 languages. • Smoother scrolling and far fewer hangs across long summaries, transcripts and lists.
