Broken
Just purchased this last night. Recording, sound, playing with five letter and six letter words--all do not work! Rebate!

Help! My son LOVES this app but the sound quit working. Sound is on in settings, have rebooted ipad and even deleted and reinstalled app - all to no avail!

Great app! However when I updated the app, ALL me word lists I previously created were wiped out. Is there any way to retrieve them? Other than that, this is highly useful in our family!
Would be great if there was an option to pull magnet tiles from the ENTIRE alphabet into their correct spots in the spelling word. This would mimic a VERY popular homeschool spelling curriculum in which many children become great spellers.
Either way, highly recommend this app, especially due to the fact that you can tailor to your children's needs.

Continues to crash
When I first got this app I loved that it could customized to meet the needs of the many children I work with, I even recommended it to many parents. However, THE APP KEEPS CRASHING! I have wasted much time re-customizing this app, just to have it crash again- a waste of my time and a disappointment for the children who spent there time typing in vocabulary words. Customer support has not been helpful. I do not recommend this app until the bugs have been fixed!

I LOVE this app and fully agree with everything ABA Dad says. I also have a special needs child and this app has made studying for spelling tests fun and easy. He types in his spelling words and records himself saying the word. The personalization is what makes it work for him. Yes "b" and "v" are reversed but that is an easy fix since you can customize pretty much anything. Thank you for a great app.

I love these apps. They are a priceless aid in spelling and reading! My only wish is that you could change the letter pronunciation to the phonetic version. Please add this as an option to your apps.
Best spelling app for special needs kiddos
The iPad has been a great learning tool for my special needs son. He has learned to spell using different apps. This app is the best spelling app we have found, since it combines a simple drag and drop format, clear easy to read letters, uses only positive reinforcement, and truly is fully customizable. You can add new words and pictures you want your child to work on, and can create multiple word lists to work on, selecting one or multiple lists to be used in a session. If I could give this app 10 STARS, I would !!!

Pretty good but quirky
I generally like this app. My 4 year old loves to play it, and I think it is helping her put letters together to make words. The customization is fun - I made a set with family pictures and she loves to spell her brother's and dog's names. The only problem is that it suddenly stops working, mixes up letters, stops using all the customized words (for some reason it only brings up the kid pictures, not the adults). Re-starting it sometimes re-sets it, but doesn't solve all the problems. I like it but the inconsistency is annoying.

Don't buy this game
Doesn't work at all crashes as soon as you open it.deleted it and reinstalled but it made no difference.reported that it doesn't work but haven't heard anything back.

Teaches incorrect sounds for some letters.
Shouldn't a teaching app use correct sounds for each letter? Then why are the sounds for 'b' and 'v' reversed? Fail.
Fantastic app
My 22mo old son loves the app and he is spelling 4 letter words. The app needs to be more customisable though- please let us add our own xmumber of letter words with our own photo please and let us create our own categories ie household items , professions, whatever. My son is honestly sick of farm animals! I'd also add some type if set and beat the timer option too thanks
