Excellent and Necessary!
The SPIEL Essen app was excellent and very necessary to prepare for and use during the event. Mine never crashed and it updated automatically daily with the latest info and new entries. I hope the app will be available next year.

Great app. Lots of useful information about Spiel, essential to navigate and find things. A must have if you go to Spiel!

A map with all the locations would be great. Including toilets and exits

The toilets are printed on the detail hall plans. Open the legend (small arrow on the right side) to display them on the overview map.

Die App zeigt unkompliziert die Neuheiten mit Verlagsangabe und Standplätze und die Verlage. Die Sortierfunktionen sind ebenfalls hilfreich. Der Routenplaner zeigt allerdings nur die Verkage und Ereignisse, die man sich vorgemerkt hat. Es würde die Übersichtlichkeit erhöhen, wenn hier auch die markierten Spiele aufgelistet würden, da man so nicht ständig zwischen mehreren Seiten wechseln müsste.

Great for planning
But not so great for navigating the halls, lacks planning a route from you're favorites it crashes or ignores half your items, can't sort favorites by priority, favorites are doubled up if I selected a game and the publisher it should just show the both as the map gets really busy with all the text and can't filter my high vs low booths to say I'm doing these Thursday and these on Friday

Not sure what the complaint is about. The navigation works completely offline.
Good but…
Lots of helpful information but my favorites (publishers) disappeared. I suspect when the app updated, it cleared the saved data
Haven’t used in practice yet
So far I’m really impressed on how well the app works-LOVE the map (wish GenCon had this). Love I can favorite games, vendors & events and app will guide me (1st time going so will see how well it works).
Only wish is I purchased tickets on web but cannot import tickets into app; tried every option, scanning QR code does not work, etc. All of my group said the same-can’t import tickets.

On y a little bug when importing the favorites : their levels are not imported (all are imported with "Normal" level)

Edit: Der von mir angesprochene Fehler mit Spieltiteln in der Liste konnte nicht objektiv Repliziert werden. Darum geh ich von einem Anwenderfehler aus und danke dem Entwickler Team für den produktiven Austausch.
Die App macht was sie soll. Und dies wird von Jahr zu Jahr besser und umfangreicher. Bitte weiter so. Einzige Kritik, die mich leider sehr stört ist, dass immer wieder Spiele in meiner Auswahlliste landen, die ich nicht ausgewählt habe. Ist das die neue Art Werbung? Das geht leider für mich gar nicht. Bitte fixt das.

Gut mit Potential
Alles in allem ist das gut gelungen - auch das Einscannen der Tickets und das navi etc.
Zwei Punkt zur Verbesserung:
1) zuerst war mir nicht klar, wie rum ich mich stellen muss, damit mich das navi in die richtige Richtung schickt.
2) ein Update fragt nach jedem suchen / umschalten, auch wenn ich das jetzt nicht will. Vielleicht kann man zu „ok“ und „abbrechen“ ein „frag nochmal in 2 Stunden“ hinzufügen.

C’est moyen !
Ce n’est pas très joli le design, trop de textes en allemand ! Vu que c’est pour l’international, c’est l’anglais 100% à la base ! Après pourquoi pas ajouter d’autres langues mais dans le réglages et non en standard ! Dommage !

Should be the standard for all convention apps
The app gives you a list of all the vendors, most of the new products, and allows you to favorite them so you can remember them later. Because let’s be honest, the day of the convention you’re so busy running around, that you’ll forget that one vendor you meant to go to more than anything else.
