Super buggy

Great app, has so much potential. I love the community aspect and ability to browse popular recipes. BUT it is incredibly buggy, keeps quitting when I open it. Other times I cannot update recipes after saving them. Changes aren’t saved when I want to add certain recipes to multiple collections. These basic features need to be fixed in order for the app to be functional and useful.

Great app!

Great so far & easy to use and add recipes! Would be 5⭐️ if there are available widgets or a sort of home / dashboard that just tells you what meal plan or prep you have for the day!☺️

Crashes

Multiple crashes with the app. I can’t even open it currently without it crashing. I really like the app itself, but if I can’t use it and it constantly crashes, it’s of no use to me. When the frequent crashes are fixed, I will change my review.

The truest free cookbook app

This is truly the only “free” app for your cookbook and recipes organizing needs. I love that I can either save my recipes from a different site or just write them myself. It does need a bit more development work, such as expanding the app to fit the entire screen for my iPad but other than that I think this is the best app.

AMAZING

Absolutely love this app! So many small features that makes it perfect!!
-following feature without seeing “follower counts”
-like/comment feature without seeing “like/comment counts” (helps people who struggle with comparison)
-surprise feature: allows you to find new recipes, that you otherwise probably wouldn’t have tried!
-Meal planning with calendar: helps stay organized and know exactly what your cooking when!
-Categories: makes organizing meals way easier, especially when going on frequent fast, diets, or planning events.
-Groceries feature: when importing from the planner it allows you to deselect ingredients you already have before add the entire list to your grocery list.

Love that it’s free to use!!

So helpful. The only app that’s truly free in this space and I really appreciate it. There are a couple things that other apps have that I wish I could have here like changing photos on published recipes or editing more easily if the creator didn’t put the recipe in the caption of the post. Etc

Found a bug

Hi, love the app but it’s not allowing me to see what i’m writing on the “Instructions” section (specifically step 4 and on). There’s not enough scrolling space. It’s also a bit slow to update/delete collections… but maybe that’s just me.

Frustrating app

The screen is so cluttered with ads you can’t find the buttons to navigate, let alone find the recipe itself. Which is sad because there looked to be some good recipes in it.

Type A hobbies

I have recently moved out to my first flat, and instead of getting overwhelmed by suddenly needing to sort all breakfast, lunch & dinner recipes everyday- I saw an AD for this… fast forward to today and I now have all my everyday, special & favourite recipes saved. However, the best part is I can add all the ingredients automatically by one click, and create a whole weeks food shop by either walking around the store and crossing them off, or do an online shop without thinking about what I need, at all. Love love and love, thank you!!

Good but has some quirks

I like that I share Instagram recipes to the app. However, after the first 3 shared re was a long hesitation and the next 3 recipes did not show up. After closing and re-opening the app, they did show.

One of the Instagram recipes I added did not have written ingredients. The ingredients were in the video. It would be nice to be able to add the ingredients to the written recipe instructions.

Also, please add landscape mode for the iPad.

so helpful!!

love using this to discover new recipes and plan out recipes for the week - wish i could connect my NYT account to see the logged in recipes easier but honestly not even a big barrier for me to continue to use it every month!!

Best Meal App!

My #1 app for cooking and recipes. I used to have the recipes across PDFs on the computer, chrome bookmarks, and texts. Spillt lets me keep it in a single place. The ability to use this to make a shopping list with different recipes is amazing.

Love!

I am such a fan of this app! I love how it keeps all my digital recipes in the same place. The social aspect is fun as well. There is no better app for meal planning and making cooking fun. In the future, I would love to see a scraped version of the instructions (similar to the grocery list) for easier page navigation and a way to save tiktok videos without it just saving a link (in case tiktok goes away!).

So many ads on the websites

So many ads on the website make the app glitchy. Terrible. I deleted it after a few recipes. So sad. What a waste of an app.

Ads Galore

The app would be great if it wasn’t riddled with distracting and obfuscating ads. It’s like a Picasso painting of ads everywhere. Very tough to even enjoy recipes or follow what is going on in a recipe.

This is a lovely app.

I don’t have a lot to say, but if anyone wants recipes that are good for you

Finally a place to bring all my recipes together

I downloaded this app over a year ago and I love it! I have endless links saved for recipes across apps (Pinterest, IG, TikTok), physical cook books, and random slips of paper. Spillt lets me save it all in one place with my own notes for the recipes. One of my favorite new apps!

iPad usage

Love the app but it’s not very iPad friendly .

Not there yet

Even using the app link I was not able to add my wife as a friend and had to search for her. Also the support makes you download mail it doesn’t work with your current mail app. Reminds me of an app that released before it was ready and doesn’t listen to feedback

Lovely recipe keeper

I used to have tabs and bookmarks full of recipes I liked or wanted to try but now I can keep them all handy with this app <3 and I love that it's social, sometimes I scroll through and see what other people are making for meal ideas (I dread being asked what's for dinner). The only issue I've faced is when I do that sometimes the app breaks and only shows me the same two recipes. Otherwise I looove Spillt and could spend hours on it.
