What's New in Spindle

1.0.8

August 27, 2026

Challenges, redesigned. The active challenge is now front and center — today's prompt, your progress through the week, and the covers people are picking today. Pick straight from the card. Comments that come to you. Get a push when someone comments on your challenge pick, or when someone joins your live room and reacts to what you're spinning. Turn each one on or off in Notification settings. Multi-disc records. 2×LPs and box sets now show every disc — customize each one's color and design, and choose which disc is on the platter while you spin. The listening calendar goes deeper. Your Stats heatmap now has a full scale from one spin to eight-plus, warming from amber to red on big days. Missing album covers, fixed. If a cover was added to Discogs after you imported the record, refreshing now picks it up. Also: the weekly chart recognizes your copy of an album on any pressing and lets you open every row; albums you don't own now show their tracklist; fresh Re-Spin suggestions instead of the same few albums; and the Now Spinning record feels real under your finger — grooves you can feel, and a flick that coasts.

Exceptional App

I was just looking for an app to track the life of my stylus, but this app is better than anything I was imagining. Connecting a Discogs account lets you easily pick a disc(and side(s)) to track while it plays. On iPhone, at least, it also keeps the timer on the home menu, letting you pause or stop it just as easily.
Functionally this app is very nice, but there are also some extra features, like social events. If you are looking for a usable stylus tracker, or just something to log records played, this app will vastly exceed your expectations.

Amazing app for vinyl collectors

At first I thought this was going to be just a cash grab app for vinyl collectors but this app is genuinely amazing and is making me play my vinyl and CD way more than I usually do. There’s many entertaining things to do on here besides track your listening for Vinyl and CD like Re-Spins, seeing other people’s collections, customizing the vinyl you own to make it look like real life, and how you can connect last.fm so it can transfer as a scrobble. For an app in its early stages this is genuinely amazing and has very few bugs. There’s just a couple features I think would have been cool to add but maybe in the future. Check this out if you’re a physical media collector.
