About
Spirit Ward is a Korean folklore roguelike where you take on commissions to seal the spirits haunting Joseon-era Korea — but you cannot face them until you restore what protects the living.
THE WARD RESTORATION RITUAL
Every commission names a spirit you must seal. Three broken wards lie scattered across the haunted grounds, and each must be restored before the spirit will manifest.
Stand within a ward's circle and defend it as the dead swarm in. Once you have held it long enough, the ritual begins: a sigil appears, and you must trace it in one unbroken stroke, following the marks in the correct order. Lift your finger, break the sequence, and the ritual fails — the ward's progress is lost and you must begin again.
Restore all three, and the spirit finally answers your summons.
DOSUL — THE MYSTIC ARTS
Between wards, gather and refine the tools of an exorcist. Talisman shots, orbiting clone blades, crescent sweeps, flame fans, lightning needles, and the diamond net — each can be raised through five tiers into a legendary form. Pair them with accessories drawn from folklore: a Dueoksini's horn to blunt damage, a fox tail for swiftness, a dragon scale that regenerates a shield.
Master active arts as well. Fold the earth to dash past danger, transform to shrug off a killing blow, or call down lightning on the crowd.
THREE EXORCISTS
- Hong Gildong, who splits himself into clones
- Jeon Woochi, master of illusion and flame
- Seol Jukhwa, who calls the storm
Each carries distinct stats and an exclusive upgrade path, and each changes how a night unfolds.
A BESTIARY OF KOREAN SPIRITS
Dokkaebi, Gumiho, Dueoksini, Mongdal Gwisin, Jeoseungsaja, Yeokgwi, Gangcheol and more — spirits drawn from Korean folklore, each recorded in the bestiary as you defeat them. Earn titles for what you accomplish, and carry their blessings into the next night.
BUILT FOR SHORT SESSIONS
Move with a virtual stick while your arts strike on their own. Spend soulstones between runs to permanently strengthen your exorcist. Every night is a fresh draw of tools, spirits, and wards.
Available in English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, and French.
The wards are broken. The night is long. Trace them back.
