Hi Jess&Ant, Thank you for taking the time to offer a review. Apologies it's taken me so long to respond as its taken us a while to get on top of redevelopment with Splingo. In response though, we've now made Splingo free of charge. You can also request a full refund from Apple directly. Unfortunately we cannot process this as Apple are technically the retailer. If this is adequate, may I ask that you change the review star rating as this significantly impacts our team? Thanks. Phil.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We shared widely on social media and on our website a couple of years ago that in order for Splingo apps to be viable in the long term we would have to consolidate all the apps into one place and 'sunset' the old apps. The old apps would continue to work unless users deleted them or reset/changed their devices. There are lots of ways to contact us - Facebook, email or social media. Please contact us directly and I'll try and help you access the new apps without needing to pay again. Search for @SplingoApps on Facebook and message us through there. Thanks
V basic or v advanced nothing inbetween
BUT
same rewards over and over so got voting words were not really everyday (tigers and castles and kings instead of regular daily living words like toothbrush and other household items ), and only about 50 words being targeted
Then we ran out of words and bought the next one along (you buy each module
One by one) . It was crazy difficult and the game mechanics did not work (eg spatial game “put the ball under the table”…but the ball would not go under the table. two adults trying for ten minutes could not get the ‘entry arrow’ to accept the ball) and the language universe was wildly abstract (eg picture of a king and another person, 9 -13 objects of varying sizes and categories. and three conceptual levels deep ….”put the aeroplane behind the kings chair”
Such a huge leap from “find the ball” with only two objects presented and demotivating

The nouns (naming vocabulary) within the Splingo app are designed to cover lots of different categories - eg everyday items such as cup, toothbrush, ball, spoon etc as well as animals, transport, clothing, people etc etc. The app is designed to be used at various levels of complexity (not just basic and very advanced) and the menu should allow users to select what level they want to work at. We'd love you to enjoy Splingo - if you contact us on help@splingo.net we can talk you through how to get the most out of the app :)

Hello again. I have left my original message at the end of this one. After a lot of investigation into this and trying to replicate the issue you might be having, we managed to experience the same thing on an old iPad Air 2. All other Apple devices we typically use to test work fine inc. iPhone 13 pro, 12, iPhone 6, iPad, etc. - Interestingly with the iPad Air 2, the audio worked fine using headphones with the headphone jack, BUT did not work from the speaker. We investigated with Apple as this was due to system settings on the iPad itself. Ultimately we tried a factory reset (Settings > General > Erase All - and started with a fresh install. This resolved the issue for us and hopefully this may help. If this is not feasible for you, then it is possible to request a refund via Apple using the following link.
