About
You shop together. One person grabs things only they want. Everyone shares the groceries and household basics. At checkout the receipt is one number, and no one knows who owes what. Split Expenses settles it in a single trip.
You enter personal items as you shop and assign each one to a person. At checkout you type in the final receipt total. Everything you did not assign to a specific person becomes the shared remainder, split by the percentages you set. Personal items go to the one person who bought them. The shared remainder splits evenly. The app then tells each person exactly what they owe and shows the payment order.
The app tracks personal items per person and estimates tax per taxable item, so one trip settles both the shared groceries and the one thing only your roommate wanted.
