Ad

The app was good for a while until it popped up ads every time I opened the app. It wouldn’t be a problem if it the ad didn’t freeze the whole screen when I tried to close it, but it did it every time. When I tried to restart the app to get rid of the frozen screen, the same ad popped up and did the same thing over and over again

Exactly What I Needed for Splitting Bills

Splitter works extremely well and does exactly what it promises. The app is simple, intuitive, and doesn’t overwhelm you with unnecessary features or extra steps. Inputting items and splitting costs between one or a dozen people is quick and straightforward.

One of the best features is the photograph recognition of bills—it’s surprisingly accurate and saves a ton of time. Unlike other apps I’ve tried, Splitter focuses on its main purpose without clutter, making it a fantastic tool for splitting restaurant bills with friends or handling similar group expenses.

If you’re looking for an app that’s reliable, easy to use, and gets straight to the point, Splitter is a must-have.

Great but needs a few small tweaks

This tool is amazing! It documented maybe 70% of the items in the picture of the receipt. Adding additional items was hard bc the picture of the receipt showing what items was missing kept jumping up to the top while I was trying to type on the sheet. Also being able to reorder items so they match the recipe would help when verifying all items are accounted for against the receipt.

The one big thing I think would help is allowing names to be spelled out completely instead of 2 characters (initials). with a party of 11 for a moms night out it’s hard to see who is who.
Also the tip should be proportional by default.

Not sure why there’s service charge and no tax. Ended up rolling in tax into tip = $30%

Very useful

I recently used this app on a weekend trip with friends, where many of the restaurants did not support splitting the check. This app provides all the features I needed. Not only can you assign unique, single items, it supports easily breaking up an item that multiple people ordered as well as splitting the tax and tip proportionally. I also found it very useful that it supports sharing the final itemized split via text.

Almost perfect!

I use this app almost weekly since my friends and I don’t want to burden establishments by splitting the bill among seven different cards, so we’ll take matters into our own hands afterwards. It makes it simple and easy, and I love how I can just check off who paid to keep track.

My only issue is only being able to use two letters to label people. I never minded it with a small group of 4, but this past week we’ve had groups ranging from 9 to 15. Writing down a whole first name would have been so much more helpful since I just send a screenshot of what everyone ordered and how much they owe. A bunch of my friends had difficultly figuring out which ones were theirs, and some have similar initials as well.

I love this app and will continue to use it - I’ve even paid for the ad-free version because of how often I use it. I just hope the developers take into account the difficultly of only using initials to differentiate who is who. I will still continue to use and recommend this app though!
