Sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience. If your photos are stored in iCloud and not fully downloaded on the device, Sponge needs to fetch them from the cloud first, which can sometimes make loading feel slow. We’re actively working on improving this experience and optimising the loading process further. It would really help us if you could email us at support@prismtree.com with a few details about your setup, such as whether you’re using iCloud Photos. Feedback like yours helps us identify real-world issues and improve the app for everyone. We will be really grateful for your help.
My favorite app
One suggestion I have (if it’s even possible) is to be able to sort photos or media by size taken up. Videos will always take up more, but being able to find the worst offenders first would make prioritizing storage so much easier.

Thank you so much for this, really glad Sponge has been helpful, especially with that much storage to manage. Your suggestion about sorting by size makes a lot of sense. We are exploring it, but it is not very straightforward with the current design, so it needs a bit more thought. For now, you can use “Clean by Type” and select Videos to quickly target the largest files first. This is available as part of Premium and works well as a shortcut for freeing up space. Appreciate you sharing this, it’s exactly the kind of input that helps shape what we build next.

GREAT app, super useful if you are a photo hoarder. It works flawlessly with icloud photos and I have slowly been cleaning out 20 years of photos and videos. Highly recommend the $15 lifetime license.
