Spooky bad spelling
The app is okay for practising letters but it has some significant drawbacks. The main problem is that the developers are terrible at spelling. True the main goal is to teach children letters but surely it is important that they are then used correctly. Here are a few examples 'Lock Ness monster', should be Loch Ness, 'Quezacoatal' (and what 4 year old does not need this word in their vocabulary ) should be quetzalcoatl and best of all the word queue is spelled 'que'. No doubt there are plenty more examples, I only watched my son for a few minutes and saw these 3 mistakes.
The pronunciation is also bad. It is hard to hear the T at the end of some words, e.g. ant is pronounced an, rat is ra.
Overall, fine for learning some letters. The cursive letters seems strange, but don't expect your small child to learn to spell from this app. The developers obviously can't.

Some mistakes from an educational viewpoint
I bought this app so my daughter could practice her cursive but was disappointed to note the letter b is formed incorrectly. Also words are shown in upper case and if it 'made by educators' as it claims, they would know to always show words in lower case letters . Also it says 'start again' too quickly which is demoralizing for the kids. We do want them to be accurate forming their letters but we cannot expect absolute precision.

Extremely great! Exactly what I was looking for!
My 4 year old son is left handed. It's been stressful showing him the correct order of the strokes. I didn't think to teach cursive but this is the right age to teach that as well. Out of the many writing apps, this app shows which direction to go first. Exactly what I needed! Thanks. Very we'll worth the money from this passionate mom who just wants to assist...but not in a boring way! The other writing apps were a waste of my money and time!

Ok, technical issues though
My son loves the app, he spends ages with it doing the activities.
What robs it of the 5* review is the amount of technical errors with the app. Frequent crashes, non responding buttons, dead links etc.
Such a shame, could be so much better but is let down by sloppy coding.
