About
Spool Scanner helps 3D printing makers identify filament and keep an organized, private inventory on iPhone and iPad.
IDENTIFY A SPOOL
• Read original Bambu Lab spool tags with an optional ACS ACR1555U-A1 Bluetooth NFC reader in CCID mode. The reader is sold separately.
• On compatible hardware, scan selected NFC filament tag formats.
• Use a guided two-photo camera flow to read label clues and estimate filament color on supported devices.
• Review and edit every suggestion before saving.
• See material, brand, color, diameter, remaining weight, and available print-temperature details.
ORGANIZE YOUR INVENTORY
• Add any spool manually or from a scan.
• Search by material, color, or location.
• Track sealed, active, empty, and archived spools.
• Store location and private notes.
• Keep an on-device activity and scan history.
EXPLORE FILAMENT DETAILS
• Browse the bundled filament catalog.
• Compare supported print-profile details side by side.
• Find similar filament options for scanned spools.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account, advertising, analytics, or app-operated cloud sync is required. Spool records and camera analysis stay on your device.
NFC compatibility depends on the Apple device, physical tag, and any required reader. Original Bambu Lab spool tags cannot be read with built-in NFC on iPhone or iPad. The app does not write, clone, or create official Bambu Lab RFID tags, and tags created by the app are not recognized as official tags by Bambu Lab printers or AMS units.
Spool Scanner is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Bambu Lab.
