What's New in Sports Audio DJ

6.10

March 10, 2026

v6.10: Five Fixes: 1) Bluetooth Audio issues 2) The sudden Fade Out when trying to start a song 3) Spotify song search crashing 4) Manage Sound Groups reordering of more than one Group 5) Stop the app from dropping back to Free Mode in error. Enjoy. v6.09: Attempting to address poor bluetooth audio. v6.08: While 6.06 solved for Beeps at the end of Fade Out, this version fixes Beeps at the start of a song (with or without Fade In). Whew. Death to Bluetooth Beeps! v6.06: FINALLY we were able to solve for bluetooth systems that caused BEEPS to sound off at the end of playing a song. If you are impacted by BEEPS there is a new option in Main Menu -> Settings towards the bottom called "Protect from Beeps" to switch ON. Also worked the brief volume blast at the end of a Fade Out. v6.05: One more stab at the instant Fade Out behavior of Apple Music songs. Fixed an issue that prevented the Search button from showing. Added auto backup of the DB every two weeks. Fixed an issue with Volume handling for imported songs. Fixed the automatic debug email send. Whew. v6.04: Enhanced the handling of the 'Missing Silence' message for Spotify users. v6.03: Added more handling for Apple Music song startup to help with Fade In and stop the random sudden fade outs. v6.02: One more swing at that pesky insta-fade that streaming songs are experiencing. Also a fix for low volume imported music (MP3, M4A). v5.99: Take Two of the fix for Apple Music songs starting and suddenly stoping or fading out. Added a check for the Spotify "Silence" song to make sure it's accessible since folks keep making it 'Do not play' in Spotify which causes SADJ to get real angry. v5.98: Fixed an issue where Apple Music songs would initially start and immediately stop. v5.97: Fixed the layout of the Main Menu and Search buttons when using windowing in the iPadOS 26. Added some helpful details to the support email so we don't have to ask you about what kind of music you are using. Plus a couple of bugs squashed. v5.96: Tested for iOS/iPadOS 26. Fixed an issue where Spotify songs would initially start and immediately stop. v5.95: Fixed an issue when using a Group to Play As Playlist when it would stop playing the playlist. Also Disabled the WIP 'Share Setup' button. v5.94: Fixed in issue effecting Looping for Apple Music songs. Dropped the free mode number of groups from 3 to 1. v5.93: You asked, we did. Added ability to sort songs by COLOR! Also added keyboard support for Groups. You can now assign a key to a Group for quick access. Bonus round: If you hold down the SHIFT key while typing a Group hotkey, it will invoke "Pick-A-Song" from that Group. v5.91: Getting the Danish support for Spotify playlists right this time. v5.90: Added Danish language to support for adding songs using Spotify playlists. Added the ability to select All Songs or Unplayed Only Songs when playing a Group as a Playlist. It's good to Go Pro.

Amazing but a big flaw

I love this app and it’s great, but sometimes, the song just won’t play, or it just plays a different song, if that problem can be fixed, this might be the best app for Djs ever

NFG Don’t waste your $$$

I would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing Sports Audio DJ

I use arena audio software to run music and sound effects during hockey games, where reliability is absolutely critical. Unfortunately, this app has now glitched and crashed twice during live events, including the most recent incident just before a championship final game where I was responsible for the game presentation music. That is not a minor inconvenience — it’s a complete failure of a tool that is supposed to perform in high-pressure, live environments.

When software designed for live sports presentation crashes at the worst possible moment, it undermines the entire event experience and leaves the operator scrambling.

What makes this even more frustrating is that my attempts to contact the company about these issues have gone unanswered. I have reached out looking for support or even acknowledgment of the problem, and so far those efforts have fallen on deaf ears. For a paid piece of software used in live production, that level of customer support is unacceptable.

To be clear, the concept behind the app is good and when it works it can be useful. But reliability and support are everything in live event production, and right now this product fails in both categories.

If you are considering this app, be aware that crashes can happen without warning, and you may find yourself on your own if something goes wrong.

Until these issues are addressed and the company demonstrates responsive customer support, I cannot recommend this product.

Good but too quiet

Compared to other third-party apps it’s a couple volume notches lower even with all of the settings turned up. Have pro version.

Audio DJ

This is exactly the app I am looking for. However, I bought the pro version so I would be able to start the song from where I choose. And when I choose to start a song (30 seconds into it, for example) It will play the first split second of the song before jumping to the designated start time. Pretty annoying and trying to see if there’s a way around this. I updated my iPads newest IOS thinking that may help but I’m still having the same problem. Wondering if there’s a way I can fix this bug. It could just be my old iPad too.

App is great

Like it and it’s great paired with Goal Horn Hub (both recommend) and I would add a feature where you can cut parts of a song out and then it would skip right to it
