Unsuccessful and high fees
I gave this app a try in Spain but every property refused my billing because they were already booked off of this platform. Most properties seem to be on idealista and are more than happy to work directly with you instead of through Spotahome. Beyond that the search in Spotahome was not easy to navigate and the fees are way too high for the lack of value they add.

One of the worst platform experiences I’ve had.
The apartment had serious ongoing issues from the first day: constant power outages, no stable Wi-Fi, and severe limitations that made normal use of the apartment impossible. It was not a functional place to stay.
We reported the problems immediately within the 24-hour window as required by Spotahome’s own policy. Despite this, there was no real support, no urgency, and no intervention at any point during our stay.
For several days, we were left dealing directly with the landlord while staying in an apartment that clearly did not match the advertised conditions.
The advertised “support and protection” simply did not exist in practice. The assistance was effectively zero from start to finish.
I would strongly caution others to think twice before relying on Spotahome in situations where real customer support matters

Read Incredibly Carefully
Lost money canceling a book partially for not being careful on the booking and partially for the confusing added fees and multiple links I had to read through to understand all the added fees and what a refund entailed.
The landlords and spotahome charge LARGE fees that aren’t refundable.
When I was trying to cancel I was barely getting a reply until I sent multiple messages through multiple venues BUT they were quick to reply to me when I was still trying to book on their app a different place. I found this to be distrustworthy of them.
