Technically speaking, it worked.
Quite some time with fiddling with Settings and registry entries I finally got the driver to accept the camera and show it in the other applications. However, the time lag between the video and the audio was so bad that I couldn’t use it plus there was about a 40 second lag between what I did in the camera and the screen saw.
