My experience with my former trucking company was terrible, mainly because I never felt like I had a clear understanding of where my money was going. I could run thousands of dollars worth of loads in a week and still end up with a paycheck that was nowhere close to what I expected.
The settlement statements were filled with deductions for fuel, the truck, trailer, insurance, maintenance, ELD, IFTA, escrow, settlement fees, and other charges. Some weeks there were so many deductions and adjustments that it was difficult to even follow the math. There were also charges and load adjustments on my statements that were not clearly explained, which made it even harder to know whether I was actually being paid correctly.
That was probably the most frustrating part. I was putting in long hours, staying on the road, running thousands of miles, and generating good money for the company, but I constantly had to question why so little of it was actually making it to me. When you have to sit down with your settlement statement and still can’t clearly explain where thousands of dollars went, that is a serious problem.
I eventually realized that no matter how hard I worked, the amount of deductions and lack of transparency made it extremely difficult to get ahead financially. I never want to work under another pay structure where I have to constantly wonder whether my money is being calculated correctly or where my earnings disappeared to.
They steal money from the drivers change rates they don’t care about the drivers. They force you to go lease even if you applied for company I’ve gross 8k before only to go home with $900. Stay away from this company!!!!!
