Error-filled and scummy
This application glitches out all the time and requires location services be on all the time. Super gross.
Literal garbage
I’m convinced that Satan himself invented this app so that instead of paying attention in class you spend the whole time trying not to be counted absent and penalized. Despite being created by Homo sapiens this app refuses to knowledge humanity’s existence. A 4 year old from Canada could create a better program using 3 French fries, a broken stick, and the toy that comes with a McDonald’s happy meal. Please protest this app and the creators who need to go crawl back into their primordial ooze.

Privacy concern
My college forced me to get this app due to COVID. My phone notified me that spotter was tracking my location over the weekend where I have no classes. The rise of tracking software is very worrisome for our society today. Remember Edward Snowden and protect your privacy.

This app is broken
If you check into a location and then leave to go to the bathroom for God sakes it marks you late. Broken. Once logged in, should be for good till the session is closed.

Orwellian at best
Why do students need to share their location just because the teachers are too lazy to Track attendance manually? This is an overreach of privacy and I hope there is a backlash to it.
Good concept
I’m the app doesn’t pick up on my location automatically, and marks me late constantly. It’s a very good concept, but it has some problems.

When I first downloaded the app for class it worked, but then it logged me out. When I tried to log back in I couldn’t!!!!!

Spyware
This software is spyware, plain and simple. If you run into a bug faculty will trust the data, not you. Engage your critical thinking and say no to institutionalized surveillance.
Privacy
This app is a massive breach of privacy for any college student. Look into the data collected before using!
Good in theory
But in practice it needs some work. My phone recently gave me a notification that Spotter tracked my location 88 times in previous 3 days (which was mostly the weekend). Why is it tracking my location when I do not have class? I will change my review once this is fixed. Thanks.
