What's New in SpoVote
1.290.0
August 20, 2026
Session cards now tell you where and when The cards on Discover's "Today near you" and Home's "Your next games" rails used to lead with the sport and little else. Now each one carries the venue and city right under the title, the day and exact time on the chip up top — "Today 5:00 PM" in place of a bare "TODAY" — and how far away it is, in green, under the address. A game starting soon shows its start time on the orange chip rather than the word "SOON". Custom group backgrounds are free for everyone Setting a custom background image on a group used to sit behind SpoVote Pro. That gate is gone — the background picker opens straight away for everyone, on both new and existing groups. A lock badge for footage from private sessions Footage from a private session — or a private group — now shows a small lock badge on its tile, so you can tell at a glance which clips belong to a private session rather than a public one. The inbox handles long messages, and "Update" goes somewhere Long notifications no longer get cut off — tap to expand them in place. And when you're told a new version is out, tapping that nudge now takes you to Settings and highlights the App Version row, instead of dropping you back on the inbox with nowhere to go. Buttons that vanished in dark mode are back "Edit Profile", "Edit Group" and "Add to Group" used to borrow their color from your dominant sport — and for a dark sport like Boxing, that left a nearly invisible pill on a dark background. They now use a fixed, always-legible style, readable in dark mode no matter which sport you play. Smoother & more stable - The "Who was the MVP?" and endorsement cards got a fresh coat — a subtle sport-colored wash, with accents that stay legible in dark mode - Popular Locations on Discover no longer ranks venues whose games all ended weeks ago; it reflects recent and upcoming activity now - Scanning a private group's QR code now drops you inside the group instead of stalling - A friend's "Most Played Sport" card opens their calendar in place, instead of jumping you off to a generic sport screen - Home and People → Find now meet an empty list with a full background image instead of blank space - Plus reliability improvements and a bunch of smaller fixes and polish Thanks for playing!
