Best sign language app ever, it helped with learning and comparing other sign languages visually and gestures. Especially for traveling or if ASL doesn’t have one sign but other sign languages do have.

This app makes it so much easier to find the sign you’re looking for. However, it freezes A LOT. I would happily pay a fee if it didn’t.

I like using the ASL dictionary because it helps me to understand the ASL I’m learning from different regions and areas.

Great help for new signs
I am studying BSL level 3 and often need to learn new signs. This app is great. Also like that you can look up sentences. I definitely recommend.

I started doing bsl learning a few years ago to help the deaf students in my local
area, although I’m not the greatest at sign language, I find the students understand me a lot better now that I’m using this app. I also find that the idea of giving you options of how to put a sentence together is a great benefit.
What I do find frustrating is other apps some of the signs are different. I just ask the pupil now how to sign, signs which are different to the app.

So helpful
While personally, I am not a member of the deaf community, I am trying to teach my 10 month old signs to better help him communicate his needs. Spread the Sign has been amazing at facilitating learning new words to teach my son! And it’s so easy to use!

Соглашусь с отзывами ниже. Действительно ничего не открывается, выдаётся ошибка. Получается посмотреть только начало алфавита, за всё остальное просят денег.

Die App gefällt mir grundsätzlich gut und ist hilfreich zum Lernen der Gebärdensprache. Die Bedienung ist übersichtlich und das Konzept überzeugt.
Allerdings finde ich die Umsetzung der Erklärvideos zu den einzelnen Wörtern für Anfänger etwas schwierig. Die Gebärden werden oft sehr schnell gezeigt, sodass ich als Einsteiger kaum mithalten kann und mir die Videos mehrfach ansehen muss. Trotzdem fällt es mir teilweise schwer, die Bewegungen genau zu erkennen und die Wörter sicher zu verstehen.
Hier würden langsamere Demonstrationen oder eine zusätzliche Zeitlupen Funktion das Lernen deutlich erleichtern.

funktioniert nicht mehr
Ich nutze die App schon seit längerem auf dem iPhone , meine Kollegin in Android. Seit heute gibt es in beiden Systemen nur noch Fehlermeldungen in der Suchfunktion und es sind nur noch die gespeicherten Favoriten abrufbar.

Ich wollte die App laden weil sie mir bei Instagram empfohlen wurde. Ich habe sie runtergeladen und konnte sie erst nach 5,99€ Gebühr nutzen. Angeblich wäre das für neue Videos usw.
Ich muss sagen auch das Wörterbuch ist ein bisschen ko,isch gestaltet. Ich kann sie nicht empfehlen.

There’s some signs that are different from what I have learned and what other deaf people have learned.
In my opinion it’s overall one of the better sign language apps out there, but I wish they would bring back the different speeds the person signing is performing.
Also if there’s no video for a particular sign, the developer should either get rid of it or add it.
Major plus is the different languages for signing. It’s a lot easier to explain to people who don’t understand there are different signs for different languages.

❗️Télécharger dictionnaire ❗️
Ce serait bien d'ajouter la fonctionnalité comme télécharger le dictionnaire complet afin de ne plus dépendre d'internet lors des voyages / rencontres avec les touristes / étrangers. On irait plus vite pour communiquer !!! Sinon ça rame dans les metros et dans les bus 🥱

Leur langue est reconnue en 2020 si je ne me trompe pas. Elle mérite d'être ajouté dans l'application. Merci 🙏🏻
