I used an app like this with my fourth grader who had trouble with reading. Forcing him to read faster improved his understanding by 100%
Initially already helping reading rate
From the introduction reading sample I was able to identify how I normally slow down to savor text, however this consistent word-flow from Spreeder helped the pace to be consistent and my gleaning of word bites to be consistently good.

Spreeder not only helped me to become a better faster reader, but it has impacted my visual acuity for better recognition of words, numbers and images during brief glances. I'm still amazed with these benefits!

i’ve used the for reel days. i’ve found no exercises to read faster. i can watch a bunch of videos. i can read books i have no in interest in. the safari extension doesn’t work
