These guys are absolute rip offs, they charge upwards of 5% surcharge fees which is not only greedy but inconsistent with others who charge in the range of 1-2%
Room for improvement
Whilst convenient to use, there is no option to add the amount of money you choose. Instead of having to pick in $5 amounts. Quite often I only need to top up $1 or $2. Instead, I have to add $5. With the cost of living, the app owners, should take that into consideration.

It was my first time I ordered food from Spriggy, my daughter likes hash browns but not tuna sushi, so we decided to never order tuna sushi, because it wasn’t yummy for her.
Couldn’t find schools.
I think the app is great although I couldn’t find my kids schools, even when i searched them up.

Greedy profiteering
Not only is there a high fee per order, they also force you to bank money with them to make that sweet interest (claiming it’s the payment method the parents wanted is surely a lie as every other major app knows how convenient payment methods work).
Poor service!
There is no option to communicate with the canteen via apps or to seek a refund. An item was missing for the kid's lunch that I ordered, and they referred me to call the canteen, but no one bothered to answer! Very poor service!
Lunch orders
School has changed lunch order provider and new one does the Spriggy school first time using took money but didn’t give as credit somehow my money has gone , Spriggy first said they didn’t have it , on confirmation from bank Spriggy ssis might take 10 days to show as credit no good when you wanting to place order for next day

Fantastic service.
I’m very new to Spriggy for Schools. I had an issue that needed fixing in a time sensitive manner and messaged the in app assistant outside of operating hours.
Within less than an hour of their day starting, I’d been contact twice and had the issue fixed immediately.
I cannot recommend the team and their service highly enough.

Very user friendly!
Once downloaded the app, it was very simply and easy to use! My children got their hot lunch delivered without any problem. Highly recommend!

Spriggy app has been very user friendly and well designed app. The support for the app has been excellent as well. Always received timely response from the team.
Schools beware.
This app makes you load up a min amount into their app, so if the much order is $10.50, you have to put in $20. You can’t just do the exact total, you have to “top up”. That left over $$ then isn’t enough for the following week, so you have to top up again. Granted, you get your $$ back, if you put in a request but that also takes a few days and still isn’t actually addressing the real problem. Why would anyone run a system that punishes those who don’t have a spare cash lying around. It means the budget conscious are excluded from this system. That other 9.50 could have been used to pay for a meal for the family for a night, someone’s medication, bus fare to get home, etc, but it’s tied up in Spriggys system of “holding” the money. Not everyone has that kind of buffer, especially in a cost of living crisis.

Bugs, incorrect information with transactions, high transaction fees and poor support. Takes less time to make kids lunch.

Have privacy concerns and payment details stored
While the app appears good in concept - needs much work in execution.
Main issue is that you need to store your credit card information in the Spriggy wallet - rather than the ability to pay ad-hoc. Ideally this would be via Apple Pay etc, or even at a pinch have as a one off transaction to top up as required.
There are inconsistencies with the privacy policies and vagueness of wording including sharing of data with third parties, use in marketing campaigns etc.
Differing Privacy Policy versions exist - there is one on the App Store, one within the App (in Important Documents) and another on your website.
What is a matter of concerning is that the clause for the use to check the website from time to time - rather than having an app notification or emailing it to you.
