About

Most plant apps want a subscription. Sproutkeeper just wants to help your plant. Snap a photo of a struggling houseplant and Sproutkeeper gives you a clear, honest diagnosis: what’s likely wrong, how sure it is, and exactly what to do next. Pay once — no subscription, and no “free trial” that quietly bills you later. HONEST BY DESIGN Other apps project false confidence. Sproutkeeper tells you how confident it is — and when it’s genuinely unsure, it says so and points you to a human community (like r/plantclinic) for a second opinion. We’d rather be honest than impressive. WHAT IT DOES • Snap & diagnose — point your camera at a sick plant and get likely causes, ranked by confidence • Real explanations — what’s wrong, why, and the signs it’s recovering • Care log — track each plant, add notes, and watch it get better • Watering reminders — gentle nudges, never nags • Private — your plant collection lives on your device PAY ONCE, KEEP IT FOREVER One purchase. No monthly fee, no annual renewal, no credit card for a “trial.” That’s the whole deal. HONEST ABOUT THE AI, TOO Diagnoses are generated by AI (Anthropic’s Claude). Before your first scan we ask permission and tell you exactly what’s sent. You can turn it off anytime in Settings. Sproutkeeper is here to help you keep things alive — honestly. Sproutkeeper provides general, informational plant-care guidance. It is not a guarantee and not a substitute for a professional horticulturist or arborist. Always use your own judgment with any plant.

What's New in Sproutkeeper

1.0.5

August 18, 2026

Your plant's recovery now has a real plan. Every problem gets its own path instead of the same few steps. Overwatering means a dry-out you can follow day by day, where doing nothing is the treatment. Pests mean short treatment rounds a few days apart. You can always see which day you're on. Also new in this version: Ten second check-ins. Tap what you see, no typing. What you log goes into your next re-scan, so the comparison gets sharper. Reminders that match the treatment. If a plant is meant to be drying out, you won't be told to water it. A sitter card. Going away? Send whoever is watering your plants a card they can follow, including which plants to leave alone. They don't need the app. A track record. Every scan, every condition caught, and how long recoveries actually take in your home. A care sheet for each plant, so there's something worth reading on the days nothing is wrong.
