Just makes no sense
Why do i need a token/one time password from my Desktop SQEX account to even use this app?? that defeats the entire purpose? I can't even log into the Desktop site as it requires a 1 time password from here- and this requires one from there! So I'm just stuck! I had to contact SQEX Support to get them to remove the One Time Token from my account entirely. So dumb- Id assume a physical token works fine as it simoly displays a token without needing to login.

Stuck on EULA with no Accept buttons

looks like outdated user unfriendly overcomplicated stuff, learn UX customer journey. I’ve deleted you game, when faced the need to come through this idiotic registration journey with small links and guides from 1990x
An actual joke of an app
This app is the literal worst when you change phones. Good luck accessing your account after a phone upgrade. Oh but square enix won’t stop charging your card on file. You just can’t get in to turn it off. Theft for sure.

Absolutely pathetic, and just genuinely unacceptable how awful the entire account management system is for this game. Multiple times over the years when trying to get back into this game I am met with the same bugs, and loops just trying to get access to my account or into the game. Mind boggling honestly.

Do not use
I took a break, came back after 3 months. The app will lock you out ask for one time password but you can’t access the part where you get one time password. It’s an elite rotation where you get screwed. You’ll see…

There is a single point of failure. You can make your own choice.
Square Enix: link the authenticator to the Apple ID on MacOS.

Square Enix is trash
It’s so bad. No logical thought was used at all in development of their systems and process. I just wanted to play final fantasy. Why I can just turn the game on and play I’ll never know. I have no problem signing up for a game or even paying additional charges but when you can’t log in on your PlayStation or smart device we have problems. Really bad, wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Square Enix is trash.

Why is setting up an account so complicated? Quit the game before even starting it should never be this difficult to make an account 🤦♂️. Save yourself some trouble and just don’t try.
Incredibly flawed system
I lost access to my account thanks to this terrible system. I synced my account with this authenticator for the extra lodestone port, and eventually decided to take a break from the game and made the grave mistake of uninstalling the app. Now I can’t access my account and am unable to perform an emergency removal because I can’t access my emergency removal password due to not being able to access my account info in the first place… 🙃

Simple is best I just wanted to try the game out and I don’t want to have to go through a million different steps to try out a game hat I want to invest my time into just let me sign in once without a code or anything extra this only makes people drop the idea of playing this game or any game that requires such inconvenience
