Stuck on the main screen

I am prompted to hit the ball and I move the racket to hit it and nothing happens. Is this game broken? My game is all up to date and everything

shouldn’t restart

i just got this game and i got to level 20. later i went to play it again and i was on level 2. I had to restart the whole game.
